oldage
I haven't read much about it, but will Portal 2 be using updated graphics? Well, obviously it is but more specifically how much so? If I can run Portal 1, will I be okay with Portal 2? if you can run alien swarm you should be good. or even L4D2.
The Killa
Yeah I can run L4D2 just fine on med / high. Haven't played Alien Swarm yet

Minic
So I was looking through the FacePunch Portal 2 thread and I noticed someone linked an article about the music in the game and an interview with the composer, oh and 5 songs from the soundtrack. Link I cannot wait for this game, plus i've already decided i'm gonna get the soundtrack somehow.
Mince
Still looking forward to this, already have it pre-loaded on my PC and can't wait to check out the PS3 version, brilliant how PS3 players will be able to join PC and MAC players. I've been hearing a lot of bitching from Xbox 360 owners though saying they're just going to rent the game instead and not support Valve for doing an inferior game on the Xbox. I'm kindof jealous, but to be honest, I know now that Microsoft won't allow any fun on their console. I don't have hundreds of dollars for a new PC, but Portal 2 isn't groundbreaking enough for me to get a PS3 for the extra features. I'll wait until Agent comes out, or if they port L4D over to the PS3. On topic though, this game does look great. One thing though, anyone notice that there's lots of achievements for the co-op mode? I can tell they are putting a lot of emphasis into it.

I can tell they are putting a lot of emphasis into it. I'm pretty sure they are, what with Atlas and P-Body on the cover of the game itself. I'd much prefer for single player to be much larger than co op if only because single player is easier to get into the story, and I really liked the story of P1. Glad to see the subtitle of the thread changed too.
Seddo
A decent singleplayer is important but i also love a good co-op campaign in games and think this will be pretty awesome when working together with a co-op friend. Minic
From what i've heard that countdown is for an early release for PC Gamers (a lot of the ARG data points to something happening on the 15th), a little while ago I actually got an update for Portal 2 on steam, the game is Pre-Loaded to my system but it's not even out yet so what the hell could the update do? I am excited to see what the end of the countdown brings though and I really do hope it's for an early PC release. Oh and i still have a free copy of Portal 1 if anyone wants it. Robinski
I'm hearing that spoilers, especially videos of the ending, are hitting a lot of places on the internet already. You might want to be careful where you go for the next few days if you care about that sort of thing. I hear FacePunch (?) is especially bad. Sunrise Driver
Valve should make the game at least timed exclusive for PC to prevent console pre-release piracy. Or exclusive at all.

Robinski
The avenues of discussion I'm watching seem to be really sure that the countdown's leading to a HL3/Ep3 announcement or reveal or whatever. A lot of them are saying the very least they're expecting from it is a demo for Portal 2 or an early release for those who pre-ordered on steam. Am I the only one who thinks any of these would be way too big for the fruits of an ARG? I mean, I know it's been an extensive and complex game, but there's still only a small number of people actually invested in it. I'd be pretty pissed if it was an early release as well, Europe/Australia are already getting the game two days later than the US, and I'm already dodging potential spoilers from pirates, so a blackout on entertainment websites might need to go into effect for me. Fnorg
I think a demo might be the most logical thing here. Valve has two other platforms to pander to and no matter how much PC gamers think Valve loves them, they love $$$ and a good rep more. I'd looooooooove to be wrong though. Valve > Rockstar Even though I don't buy into this half life 3/episode 3 bullsh*t. Until the fatman himself says so. Also: A fat joke a day keeps episode 3 away. Minic
Not sure if anyone has checked back lately, but there is now text to accompany the countdown: For anyone that just wants to read it. I personally think that has 'Early Release' written all over it.

ilya
Yeah, just early Steam release most likely. If we're to hear anything about HL3/Ep3, I'd expect it'd be at least several weeks after Portal 2 blows over.
