AlbertKARR
Hello everybody! I writethis message because I have a little problem. I have one car, modelled by other person, but I got the permission to modify it. When i have the car ready and export it using Kam's script, looks like these: And in the game, the car works great and looks good, but I have some problems with the reflections: Maybe someone can tell me what I have to modify and tell me where's the option to fix it. Thanks!! P.D: I'm sorry, I forget the [Q] in the topic. JohnPro
whats wrong with it? The pic shows me specular reflections wich is normal . If you would like to remove specular on your car then you can modify the Material in Material Editor of max. If your not familiar with GTA Materials this tut will help. Materials good luck Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/442027-problem-with-3ds-max-reflections/#findComment-1059802238 Share on other sites

JohnPro
I checked your vehicle. To be honest its something that has been slapped togheter and is a result of modders not taking pride with their work so I wasnt very interested in working on it. Anyway I lowered the specular of the vehicle in Material editor from 255 (very white) to 85 (grey) which made it look better in game. I didnt do it properly though, I simply applied a single texture to the entire vehicle. You will need to modify each of the body materials of this car to make it correct. A quick guide will be to use the eye dropper of material editor on the bumper, it will probably be multimaterial, modify material number 8 and set it to secondary (bumper uses secondary color) then change 255 to 85 until the white box turns grey. Now select every part of the vehicle that uses secondary colors (bumpers, hoods, spoilers) and apply the modified material to it. Maybe someone with a lot more talent in 3ds max can show you an even quicker way to change that value but this is the only way I know of and I am NOT an expert in 3ds max. Maybe it can be done in 3d analyzer. Of course it seems a lot of work for such a small problem but using ENB will hide those speculars and will only take few minutes to download, install and play. Dont PM me to ask for more help as most do because I dont have a lot of free time to work on my own mods anymore Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/442027-problem-with-3ds-max-reflections/#findComment-1059810844 Share on other sites
