Realizm IV 6.2 Mod increased my fps by 10

I installed everything and got it to work like you guys said on 1.070 but, my game is so Bright now, plz, how do i turn that down and i tryed ingame but that still isnt enough.

 

please help

Mine does not look like that so I wonder if something else is wrong with your one. You can try editing the bloom settings to see if that helps.

It worked a little bit.

ok, now this is something i do not understand.

I installed Realizm and everything to it and got it working on 1070, but it got way to bright as you can see.

I now found out why, i had this mod http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=446572 installed before and i just installed Realizm after and thats what made my game inzane super bright lol

 

How i know this?

I took the files from http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=446572 and copy them back into my GTAIV and then started the game.. and now it looks normal lightning again

 

Tho, do you think the "tweak" from Realizm is still working?

Guys dont think that this will increase the fps for everyone, it will only do it if youre playing at a high resolution (using all the gpu power) and not being bottlenecked by the cpu

To install it on the newest version, you need to do a semi manual install because some of the included files will cause it to crash since it was designed to work on 1.040.

 

Read some info Realizm IV install on newer versions here

 

I don't play online so don't know but it should work as long as you don't use anything considered a cheat like the handling modification they use to make your car faster in the Mod.

i checked the link and did what he said and basicly the proccess is,

get and install mod and then over write mod with current patch..

 

so guess what ?

Fact:

The mod don't work on the current version of GTA

it will crash your game .

There is a newer version out but its only available at the authors web site

AND its all in Polish (downloads require registering over there)

 

I could have saved a whole lot of time and a lot of gigs if someone

such as the author stating what versions of the game this mod would

or would NOT work on

Sounds like a good idea ?

There are other people around the internet, on the linked thread and other forums that have it working on the latest patch. Even some in this thread got it working on the latest and said what they did, SubGumn is one of them.

 

So what you are saying is that the Realizim IV 6.2 mod that has over 5GB's of textures is being overwritten when you install the 1.070 patch that is just over 100MBs?

 

I find it laughable that someone who labels others as 'semi noobs' states that 'There is a newer version out but its only available at the authors web site

Other semi noobs have been able to download this from a legit English source without having to worry about language barriers or registration and another complete noob just used a website translator...

(Also I notice that performance improvement only occurs when Realizm IV 6.2 is installed on the older patches, the newer patch's more demanding shadows cancels it out.)

 

Are you using 1.070 compatible script files and loaders?

 

The new Realizm IV 7.0 has confirmed bugs that the 6.2 installed onto the latest 1.070 don't have, people have also mentioned crashing too. I have played Realizm IV 6.2 on patch 1.070 for hours without any of those issues and zero crashes.

I am using Realizm IV 6.2 on GTA IV patched to 1.070

 

The reason why you need to do that is because the automatic installer will copy over the incorrect files and loaders. Installing to an empty directory first just makes it easier to test and keep track of. However, if you download and copy over these, it will fix that problem and then you will need to install the GTA IV 1.070 patch over.

 

You don't need to do any of the above if you are installing Realizm IV 6.2 to an older patched version.

Hey I have the same notebook, but with a better cpu (i7 920xm 3.2ghz throttle stop overclock ON 4 CORES) and Ati mobility HD 5870 1920x1080 same settings. With this mod I get an average of 38fgps, which 3 fps higher than without Is this game favorable towards nVidia cards ?
