GodSin Posted February 22, 2010 Share Posted February 22, 2010 hello im new here ive been reading these forums for along time now just new at signing up but yeah here is what is happening to me i got a new pc that i made from ground up my specs gigabyte MB model is ga-ep43-ud3l i have the intel q6600 at 2.4 stock i have 8 gigs of OCZ reaper ram at 1066 2 hard drivers both seagate ones 500gb and the other is 1tb my video card is ati readeon 4870x2 these are my specs for the pc but here is what keeps happenin i got gta4 when i first installed it on my OS which is windows 7 64bit it runs good then i had to uninstall the game for reasons i had but now when i try to reinstall it it keeps givein me CRC ERORRS everything it says something about a .cab not matching the dvd which is BS cos i went to target and got a new DVD then i went to frys and got a new dvdrom asus which didnt help at all it even gives me this error when i try to install stuff from my hdd like games i have downloaded i dont no why its doing this first i was thinkin could it be from the ram then i ran memtest for 20+ hours not even one error showed up at all my hdd are fine not even 2 months of use so plzz if anyone out there can help it would be greatly appreciated thanks Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/441430-gtaiv/ Share on other sites More sharing options...

If you're having trouble with other games as well then it's probably a fault with your system. I would try just deleting every file that has anything to do with GTA IV, including the AppData and savegames, then reinstall it. By the way, why did you have to uninstall it anyways?
