Went and saw these guys Friday night. Second time I've been to seen them specifically, probably one the funnest shows I've been to.

Serious Daft Punk vibe from this guy. Definitely someone to look out for.

Finally a cool Phoenix cover.

Smh at my own absence, but yay for us reaching a new milestone!

Too bad the version off Alchemy was blocked.

Damn corporates f*ckin' with YouTube nowadays, doesn't matter much tho', 'cause the song is amazing nevertheless.

Never got to listening Gorillaz, but now I realize it's a mistake.

They're amazing.

It's been a while since I last listened to Qwel, but damn, dude's one of the best emcees around, honestly.

Chi-Town breeds the hardest, Windy City's underground scene is crazy.

More stuff from Glasgow!

So much quality new stuff coming through in our dancehalls the now, but very few of the guys seem to be established enough yet to have much of a presence online. In time hopefully, though!

Mister Pink

Made a whole topic about this video in music chat although it almost could have went in to Movies & T.V. due to it's all star cast. It's the Beastie Boys new material which sounds really fresh and exciting. I'll post it again here - maybe you guys will appreciate it.

@Sauron: You're right, it's tough to get a song as well known and liked as Lisztomania right but I think she definitely brought something new to it.

@Cheat: Def diggin' the Qwel.

@Straznicy: Been a minute, welcome back. I was wanting to hear some good dub, Mungos Hi-Fi did the trick.

@Eoghan: Pretty cool retro anime video.

@Sound: That sucks. EMI blocked the video. confused.gif

It works.

New TV On The Radio. Interesting intro.

Quantic never let me down.

Perry Farrell from Jane's Addiction does a very convincing take on dub on this track.

@Ats: Def feelin' it. Pretty aggressive but you worked a lot of things in.

Not sure how anuj got on the cover but this is awesome.

Ugh, I've been a victim to the 100 Most Played playlist on my iPod lately, I need to be more open-minded, or more like look around. Nah mean?

@meta those tracks were all awesome, they had that mellowly weird meta187 sound to them with a touch oppressive, yet smooth flavour.

@Suihkubad that was some off the hook sh*t, warm and vibrant as f*ck, man. My ears thank you.

@Zak love me some George Clinton, your homies track was tight as hell too, man. Tell him I digg it, like really, it's beautiful.

@Straz' you hear a lot of dubstep played in Q-13 these days, I love it like I love all of those tracks you posted. Energic, aggressive yet calming.

If you can top an Isaac Hayes song with a cover, you're a genious.

Obviously, these guys were while recording this classic gem back in the days. This is sampled so many times, but even Dre can't even go nowhere near touching this song's beauty.

On the behalf of all of us that ever made the mistake of walking away, Mr. Johnson speaks up.

And the quality is quaranteed. Syl never ceases to amaze me.

And for the grande finale, one of the most beautiful love songs of all time, Tavares' Strangers In Dark Corners.

And I really mean that, this song has got to be one of the most beautiful recordings of all time, the Tavares Brothers have no problems at all with making songs that give you goosebumps, pleasure your ears and touch your heart.

Double post, but somebody's gotta keep the place runnin'.

Us fans of a genious known popularly as DJ Shadow will recognize this song, but the original is even more heavenly, calming, warm, mellow and smooth.

A classic, and a personal favorite, this song was one of the earliest ones up in my iPod, it's been years and I can't stop listening to this now and then, it's a gem as far as I think.

@Suihkubad: I've become a huge Bonobo fan in the last year. That guy does a lot of diverse work with various artists.

@Zak: Once again you're in touch with people who make awesome music and I never get a chance to work with them. So sad.

@Straznicy: I first heard that Basement Jaxx - Raindrops a few weeks back, effing awesome mix.

@Cheat: Thanks for keeping the fires burning while I was wasting my time elsewhere. That Dennis Olivieri immediately caught my ear as the lead sample for Six Days, good stuff.

Not the sort of thing Nu Soul artist, Bilal normally does but I like it a lot.

New album from Blue Sky Black Death, very good.

Thom Yorke does a nice and simple cover of one of my fav Bjork songs.

Lethal Nizzle

(Way better than the Stone Roses ripping original tbh, really good d'n'b if I'm honest, may be a bit too uptempo for a few people's liking though.)

It's been a while once again, hello fellas.

Been listenin' to 2001 again recently, really influential, quality stuff.

Such a shame that Dre changed.

Got so lost to the sounds of soul today, once again. Not to forget bands like The Supremes, Creative Source and The Dynamic Superiors, The Temptations always keep it smooth, and - especially on this track - a bit psychedelic, with the deep sounds and the slow tempo - just the way I like my soul.

Wait, did someone just say psychedelic?

A classic that had to be posted.

I'm new to this topic, so yeah. This is one of my favorite songs in GT5, it's so relaxing. Just like most of the GT5 soundtrack.

I supposed to leave an artwork right?

It's been a long time we shouldn't have left you without a dope beat to step to.

@Jake: As always, thanks for the reggae and dub.

@Straznicy: Anyone who's followed my posts in the Hip Hop topic know's I'm still a big Wu fan. Always welcome. And Electric Relaxation is this n!ggas official theme song, just so ya know. wink.gif

@Lethal Nizzle: Really enjoyed both your spins. I'm not adverse to uptempo songs in here at all, I always looks at the actual mixing and transitions that go into the track before I make any final decisions. I had a big preference for jungle and dnb before sort of transitioning over to dubstep. It's all about the peaks and valleys at the end of the day.

@Shake: I'm really enjoying L.A. Noire and the way they went with a slightly ambient approach mixed with a bit of set radio broadcasts on the music, how bout you?

@Cheat: Biiiiig Temptations fan from way back and that Nautilus was right on, my brutha. Thanks for keepin the funk flowin' up in chair.

@DneroJohnson: Welcome. It's really good to see console games making smart choices on their soundtracks these days. I'd like to think GTA and Tony Hawk Pro Skater pioneered that notion and people really look at it more seriously now. That particular song makes me think of a lot of that jazzy mooged out SEGA music back in the day. Dig it.

Played this a while back but it bares repeating.

Easily one of the best albums of 2009.

Puts me in a better mood.

@meta good to see you back man, haha, I think I've been waiting for you to post before posting myself - always feel afraid about posting more than once before you do, I guess I'm afraid of unbalanced feedback or something. It's strange, the human mind.

Straight from the streets of Amsterdam, FS Green has incredible talent. Posted one or two of his beats here before, every single one he drops is pure sex for ears and always sets me in a positive state of mind.

First time I'm posting MF Doom, he has divine talent, yet I'm not a regular listener. No matter what, this is my personal Doom favorite, love the Cortex sample as well.

Let the emcees and the deejays take a rest and wind down with this absolutely beautiful Emotions jam.

@LethalNizzle: I was just about to post that Xilent tune literally five minutes after you did. Creepy sh*t.

Really into Chasing Shadows lately, which is odd since they're definitely on the wubbier end of dubstep which I've not been overly keen on for quite a while. The perfect compliment to a Battlefield session.
