Another Mac Miller instrumental here

As I finally come to the conclusion that Nicolay is a musical genious, an huge inspiration and a definetly notable influence to me, allow me to very likely repost myself, can't really keep a count on the tracks from Connected that I've posted.

Such a beautiful album, isn't it?

Mister Pink

Not sure if I've posted this one before but I was just chatting with my uncle in Chicago about it. This from the Computerworld album by Kraftwerk (1981). The album is a concept album like every one of their albums. It's about computers and technology. Actually you could say every Kraftwerk album is about technology.

Alot of you will know the melody to this song as Coldplay used it on their track 'Talk.' Apparently when Chris Martin asked for permission to you use it the go a one word written letter saying 'Ja' which is typical of the band. I'm posting this as it has relevence today. Someway or another the youth are still hearing this band be through Hip-Hop, Classical or Rock.

Beautiful Quartet version.

Punk-in-Drublic

I went to an illegal rave underneath a motorway viaduct at the weekend, sound system was immense, still hasn't changed my mind on dubstep, but it's tolerable when you're wired, haha. They played some dub reggae earlier the next morning though.

Heres some footage:

Now for something a bit more mellow

It's been a while since I've listened to anything i deem appropriate for the topic, though I have been following the tuneage. Lately I've been finding a few nice tracks which have led me to complete albums of fantastic material I'd never heard before. Totally appreciate still being sent the set lists Meta, very good work and great tunes smile.gif

This artist barely exists, even on youtube, and impossible to find a download for his album if it isn't straight from iTunes. Great couple of tracks though...

HOGNI - Big Personality

HOGNI - Bow Down (To No Man)

3 Doors Down - When You're Young

Dan Black - Symphonies

There is a remix ft Kid Cudi, but I much prefer the original

There are a few more but those are the ones that popped in my head as I saw the topic.

@Claude: That 2nd clip kept making me 2nd guess whether or not it was an actual commercial or music video, very driving beat.

@Sound: Yes, I was referring to Stone Temple Pilots. The KRS was classic.

@Warlord: lol. Have you seen the Sexy Saxman playing Careless Whisper? I'll play it just for you. lol.gif

@Cheat: One thing I do like about Nicolay is how many projects he's involved himself in, very active music artist.

@Malfoy: Good job on the picture. None of those were reposts even if they were, no complaints. The Deerhunter track was something new that really caught my ear.

@Jake: Thanks for the on the street coverage. I can also always count on you for some tasty classic reggae & dub.

@Craig: That Isaac Hayes track has been sampled for so many other great tracks, two or three songs instantly come to mind when I listen to it.

@[Eoghan]: Welcome. That Dennis Ferrer track really caught my ear, that chick sounds like a cross between Adele and the lead singer from Lamb.

@kippers: Good to see you back around, not sure if you've heard it but Dan Black did a Biggie cover of Hypnotize using that Symphonies instrumental. I'll play that as well.

@Craig: Welcome back, stranger - I really enjoyed the Yo La Tengo track.

@Suihkubad: Been a while, welcome back as well. Tokimosta, Eskmo and Bonobo are some of my favs to be played in the thread this last year.

@Wizard: Thievery Corp and Scientist are always a safe bet. Though Scientist is actually the name of one guy as opposed to the band he plays with.

@Cheat: Thanks for dropping a new artist, I don't think we've had any Cortex played in here as of yet, nice traditional Lounge sound to it.

All of their tracks don't sound like this but this feels very Beirut to me so I love it.

I was jamming out at work to this the other day.

It's been a decade or so since this dropped and it's still one of my all time favs. I seriously wish they'd do another full length album.

I've never been a really huge fan of electronic music per-se, but I do have times when I enjoy certain artists and styles of electronic music.

I've been on a kick lately as I've found some really good stuff that I just enjoy the hell out of.

Nice to sit back and relax to some of it, where other stuff is nice to put on when I have house work or I am exercising.

Now before I post all this stuff, this topic is huge and I looked through some it and I honestly have no idea if any of this has been posted before, so sorry if it has.

Was browsing around on http://techno.org/electronic-music-guide/ the other day and found a few artists that were pretty kick ass to me.

The Glitch Mob being one.

Just love the chillness of this music and the catchy melodies they have going on.

Been thoroughly enjoying the entire album.

Those two tracks there are my favorites so far.

I'm assuming these guys are glitch? (As their name suggests?)

Next thing I found was a bit of Ambient Psy. (I'm pulling this gerne from the link posted above since most people argue it's GOA.)

Enjoying the strange sound bits they use in this and the overall mood of the music.

Not enjoying this as much as The Glitch Mob, but it's still very good in my opinion.

Those two tracks are from an older 1996 album by Cosmosis.

Next thing I ran across was Massive Attack.

I remember hearing them in the past but they never really caught my ear until now.

Really enjoyed the Teardrop track as it is very relaxing.

The second track reminded me a lot of Puscifer's Momma Sed which I've enjoyed a lot.

Something I found a while back was Pendulum.

I'm sure they have to have been discussed in this topic at least once so I will spare my drabble opinion of them.

Like the motivation I feel when listening to them though.

This next video I enjoyed more for the video than the music.

I like the music but the video itself kept my interest WAY more than the music could have.

Just an intriguing setup all around.

I don't even have any clue what genre that is but as I listen to it again it's not so bad.

Hopefully I didn't bore anyone to death and I hope this is fitting for the topic.

As I said before I'm not a huge electronic music fan but these tracks have kept my interest for awhile at least.

@[Eoghan], great tracks! I love the first too!

@WizardOfTruth, That Danger tune is sweet! I hear some 8 bit sounds in there sweet! I've been meaning to listen to his stuff a long time ago, I might just do that now.

@Craig, I love that Mrs Jynx track!

@Suihkubad, Awesome tracks! Thanks for sharing!

@Waste: Wow, nice to see another new face in here, welcome. I really liked all the Glitch Mob and I'd almost completely forgotten about that cool Cinnamon Chasers video.

We try to keep selections to around 3 songs per post so you have a good reason to come back to us. wink.gif

@Craig: Nosaj? I can't say enough about him. He's done so many great remixes he really makes the tracks into something new every time.

@Sound: Spongle ended up being great to smoke to, I listened to about 7 consecutive tracks by them following that one.

@Claude: I thought that Smiletron track started out sounding rather typical but by the end it went to all kinds of great places.

@Eohgan: I really enjoyed that video, even posted it to my friends on FB, hope you don't mind.

Two great tastes that taste good together. Sade was my first wife just so you all know.

This girl's crazy dance at 1:58 cracks me up entirely.

Though Natalia is still a bit off the radar I don't play a lot of "pop" in here but seriously this chick is smokin' hot. inlove.gif

Watched the Battlefield 3 trailer yesterday and this song was playing in the first half and it was pretty wonderful on the ears.

JJ - My Life

And a few more from the same artist;

Ecstasy

Very soothing.

Let Go

Still

Uses the same beat as Still D.R.E which was a pleasant surprise.

@rad: Good to see you back, I liked all those joints but that Pace Won really had me noddin'.

@Sauron: A grand return to form, I really liked all of those and they were all new for me. You really should delete a few PM's I have a few things to send ya.

@kippers: I really like jj, first time listening to her. I really enjoy how she takes all of those instantly recognizable hiphop beats and makes them into her own little songs.

@hristobg: Welcome. I don't typically think of Bulgarian as easy on the ears but I really enjoyed both versions.

@Jur1zz: The Grits are a surprisingly decent christian HipHop group they've been around for a good while now.

@Zak.: Thanks for dropping off that Sun Araw. What the flying f*ck with that Gravy Rainbow. lol. biggrin.gif

@Wizard: The Tings Tings are a group both the wife and I can agree on. Love them.

Does it Offend You. Yeah? do a ton of great remixes.

Totally sounds like Just Like Heaven in the opening bit.

Break it down won time.
