Sorry for the delay on the setlist people, totally my fault I've been finishing up a few side projects this week as you may have noticed but I'll try and have it out in the next day or so.

@Sauron: Believe it or not, I still haven't seen Inception, been meaning to watch it but I'll probably have to wait for the BluRay at this point, I really liked that song from the soundtrack.

@Welcome LanceVance: I really liked that Benny Mardones cover because I love the original song.

@Stefche: Chicago's a classic, makes me want to listen to Boston or Journey.

@Guru: Metric's always good. icon14.gif

Good forward tune.

A ton of people have done covers of Cee Lo's Crazy, prior to this Ray LaMontagne was my fav.

But this girl will melt your face off.

Good Year. wink.gif

@Stefche I'm not a huge fan of rock-ballads but there are a few exceptions and Chicago is one of those icon14.gif

@meta I've heard that Modest Mouse track a few times and always liked it, it's really nice. A bit sad, but nice.

Can't start the day without good music.

Another piece of true rap I dug up. Damn, real music does live underground.

It's been a while since I popped in here, so here's a few things I saw at the End of the Road festival this month:

Black Mountain: Old Fangs

This track makes me want to go on a road trip.

Three Trapped Tigers: 7

This track makes me want to break chairs. In a good way.

And just because I want to hear it, here's some Holy f*ck.

Holy f*ck: Tone Bank Jungle

I may well pop in again soon with some more delights for your brain stem.

Signatures are dumb anyway.

@Cheat: Really liked that Reach & Twelve track.

@Fuzz: Welcome back stanger. Some pretty contemporary takes on classic rock styles, I likey.

Hard to pick a fav but that Black Mountain kicked things off nicely, vocally reminded me a little of Monster Magnet.

@Cand: When I was a little kid seeing Steve Vai on MTV for the first time, I was pretty much floored by his godlike guitar skills. Good selection.

@Masterkraft: Been a minute, thanks for the Squarepusher track. icon14.gif

One half of Empire of the Sun, love this.

Another solid vocalist.

Haven't played anything by Braille in a while.

Call me soundtrack guy, because for the remainder of this post, I am going to reminisce about all of these tracks.

This one has to be one of my all time favourite game soundtrack compositions. Jeremy Soule is a wonderful composer, look into any of his past work for proof. Ahh, how I could remember walking through the night time forest of Cyrodill to the sound of this and, among other things, the bestial melodies that followed.

Just got Mass Effect two days ago (Along with my xbox f*cking breaking). It is a wonderful game, and I am quickly finding myself in love with the entire soundtrack.

Wanted to go ahead and end it with something most of you might have heard, but not known about. Anyway, the progression in this song worked particularly well with the guitar chord back round.

Nothing from A Scanner Darkly this time, Unoriginal?

Nevermind that, because the tune from Oblivion's soundtrack was great, never played the game but knowing a bit 'bout it, that track must fit in perfectly!

@meta Braille is great, honestly, he is awesome. Great song.

Check this out:

@ meta: Like Cheat said, Braille is just awesome. The first track that I heard him was Keep On, on some skate clip. Instantly looked it up and posted it in the Rap & Hip Hop topic.

@ Cheat: That's more than B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L.

Can it get any sicker?

@meta - That Braille track is dope, like most of his songs.

@The Guru - Holy sh*t, that is sick. Great stuff.

New track from me:

Don't really like it, but then again, I don't like any of my songs.

@Unoriginal: Funny, I spent the last 2 months playing Oblivion for the first time and you're right it has a really good score.

I just wish they had paid for more than 5 voice actors for the entire huge game. sigh.gif

@Cheat: You're going to have a hard time topping that Makeshift Santuary track, I really enjoyed it.

@The Guru: Pretty colorful.

@Ats.: You're way too hard on yourself. I wish I could put something together on a track that sounded half that good.

@radltzx: Been a while, welcome back. I really liked the sonic quality of that DJ Koze track, set the mood this morning.

I've really been into Devotchka lately.

Pretty rockin', Beck.

Upbeat and quirky. Me likey.

@meta I am, right? It was dope, I give you that.

Really enjoyed that last track.

I spent a good while thinking which one of KenLo's beats should I be posting, they are all so nice.

All the different sounds and genres he blends in together, it's really experimental and unique.

@Cheat: That first Kenlo joint had me coming off the head with lyrics instantly, just a really pliable backbeat.

@Jake: Just what the doctor ordered. A simple and great little tune right there.

@ThePinkFloydSound: Glad we can provide the soundtrack to your evening, that's a pleasant feeling.

I actually play a lot of things posted here for my wife as well.

One of her suggestions actually, really like the leads voice.

I miss Sublime quite a bit.

Kick it back up a notch.

@meta tell her she has a good taste of music!

Onra's beats are very simple, yet so smooth, this has to be my favorite.

Luvin' the jazz on this one.

@Cheat: Really nice selection on that Onra & Quetzel.

@Narcis: I complained about that game being short but it had a great soundtrack and score, just the same.

Amplive has some really good remixes, I played one he did of a Submarines track a while back.

Love the production on this one.

Finish strong.

Best remix I've heard of this since Skream's Let's Get Ravey.

@meta loved the production on that Strange Fruit Project joint aswell. Nice page starters icon14.gif

@Narcis I played the game through, never noticed that track, in what point was it at? Loved it!

Dope sounds from the streets of Amsterdam, FS Green has a lot of cool stuff on his State Beat Tape.

SamiYam is a must-know for every glitch hop fan, he also has some chiptune in his songs too.

The beat speaks for itself.

I love the Lighthouse Family, here are some tunes. Great chillout/uplifting music.

What a great band they were. Shame they disappeared off of the edge of the world a while back. Their songs always brought a smile across my face.

So I really have to apologize for the lateness of the setlist this go around. I am truly pissed I had it all typed up yesterday, was just getting ready to add in some of the finishing bits when my browser froze up and I lost the entire f*cking thing. Ahhhhrgh! yea. suck ass.

@Cheat: I wanted that FS Green track to just keep going.

@nerner: I liked the little nod to U2's One at the end of that first selection.

Well let me drop a few new tunes to get my head right and we'll try it again.

Cool video.

Kinda spooky and sexy.

Great combination.

If you don't like Don Henley then you're just gay

About Keidis' overdose on heroin.

Not really a chill song, but I'd listen to it while at a lounge.

Session 7 Setlist is out. (sorry for the delay)

Meta you need to inform me on where you get all of the images bro, just sayin'.

Nothing special, just cool random doodads I find on Google image search to fit the aesthetic.

Henley's always a nolstalgic choice.

@Guru: Crazy how many parts of that song have been sampled over the years.

@Kev: I was listening to them on NPR just the other day, very eclectic and talented guys.

Breakbot does some really excellent remixes. Has quite a few floating around Youtube.

Very catchy, indeed.

Like the combination and they really balanced it out between all three songs.

Still drunk from the night before....Seen these live last month, what a show! Real feel good track for me.

I lol'd and was amazed when on T.V. I heard this piece used for a Sky Sports football ad with slow motion high definition images of football. Almost brought a tear to my eye.

One of the most beautiful pieces of music I've ever heard in my life. It's indescribable.
