Parachute Glitch Removed [ WHY? :( ]

Regardless of whatever or not they should listen, it doesn't matter now.

 

R* removed the glitch in their update, and they're not gonna put it back just to please the 500 (or more) fans who want it.

 

Remember, there were also people who didn't like the glitch (probably because they didn't know how to do it).

 

Maybe, maybe not... But if everybody thinks like you, and does not try anything...

Definitely nothing will happen!

 

And if people didn't know how to, they just needed to ask the people who were doing it... Or look it up on the internet...

So not knowing a thing should not be a reason to complain about something...

Than just figure out how to do that thing you can't...

Well, You can go ahead and rally up a bunch of upset fans, and try to bitch at R* for removing it. Who knows, maybe if you keep on sending in enough complaints, they'll actually put it back.

 

Me, I can care less. If they put it back, they put it back. If they don't, I'll find another way to have fun in Free Mode.

Really. It was a really epic/LOL part of the game, I personally hate this f*cking Game and Rockstar now because they made such a stupid move removing a harmless and entertaining part of the game. I logged on today, got into a multiplayer with two friends and was really looking forward to us LOL'ing about Liberty City chasing people in Helicopters with our Parachutes with possible LOLWUT?/WTF results... Honestly, for people who don't know the glitch it's funny watching their confusion as I zoom around the air pestering them in their mighty choppers...

 

Anyway, I did what I always do first thing when we enter Free Mode, base jump and begin my game with a parachute glitch, up to the highest point and fall back to earth with LOL results. But not this time, I started trying it, and immediately knew what the UPDATE was, I was SO disappointed, I played for awhile and just shut it off from being so choked about the removal of a really fun glitch.

 

The Multiplayer in GTA 4 and BoGT is really dry in so many ways, if I don't get on with friends and just LOL, I can't even play it for 30 minutes without switching it off, same goes for the missions in single player. What is it with developers now? They make games that are visually great, but the gameplay/playability is so second rate. There are so many simple yet fun elements you could easily add in, in place of some of the boring crap.

 

Like why can't we travel through more of the buildings and do interactive things while inside? (chasing people, or even just having LULWUT? moments inside building, makes for epic)

 

Why is the hand to hand fighting so bad? (I WANT ROUNDHOUSE AND JUMPKICKZ!! NOWZ! I WANT FLAILING ARMS!! AND SCRATCHING!! I WANT LOLOLOLZZZZOR! I want to curl up in teh FETAL POSITION!)

 

Why is the handling on the cars so f'ng attrocious?

 

Why can't I pack 6 of my friends on a commercial airliner and fly it into a building like some LOLTERRORIST with LOL

results?

 

I want to be able to drive my car through brick walls!

 

I want to be able to drive to a park with a RIDONKULOUS sized ramp!

 

Why are the guns so painfully inaccurate, yet so deadly? (how about more accuracy, less damage, more epic firefights?)

 

MORE WEAPONS! MORE VEHICLES! MORE INTERACTIVE MULTIPLAYER CONTENT! I want to be able to play a FRICKING game of baseball if I god damn want to! Or even sit in a stupid thatre and watch a ridiculous random play! or be able to do random weird animations! like run around screaming! I want FUN. Not driving aimlessly about half bored and out of it while idiots shoot my car with rockets. Make the game more FUN!! Less serious, more ridiculous! MORE CONTENTSZZZZZTSTSST!!!

We pay to play this game, if we did not buy it, the employees who made the game would not be paid, and they would not make the game. It would not exist without the player purchasing it in the first place.

 

It's not Rockstars game, it is OUR game. If Rockstar decided to take out the vehicles, simply because it was their game, I would simply NOT buy their products.

That glitch was one of the most fun I have ever experienced in any game, and sadly, I will not do it anymore. I remember the days when I played a peaceful Free Mode, without any buzzard killers annoying us, like when we got 5 people stunting with the parachutes, smoke on, going under bridges, even in tunnel... Great days.

 

My EFLC is not updated yet, and I won't update it.

 

Rockstar Games has taken a feature, which was THE feature I always used in Multiplayer, and in Single Player, doing shootouts roofs to roofs.

 

Rockstar Games, I give up this game, for a while now.

Also if you do the parachute glitch, but push the stick forwards you can decrease height faster* It will take a 100 or so feet before you regain control of the chute.

I read that topic, and offcourse there are things they should put back or change...

But the thing I hate, is that they remove things that used to be in the game...

 

For example:

First you could change some settings if you host a free mode... (thats the only mode i like to play)

One of them was the "blip", i can understand people want to play WITH blips...

But me and my friends want to play WITHOUT blips, so it was more realistic and you could hide...

Or you could just drive at the 3th island without any body bothering you...

But first you had the choice of playing with or without blips, but now you can't even choose what you want...

 

So if you didn't like to play with the blips "off" you could leave and join an other game, or make one yourself...

But now the people who want to play with the blips "off", they don't have the choice any more...

 

 

Back to the parachute thing, it was allready in the game...

I never heart any body about it, that it was unfair, or cheating or that they didn't liked it...

And why remove it now? Like 4/5 months later...

I did try the phone open parachute thingy and it didn't work

So people keep B*tching

 

Going down faster isn't what we want

we want to go up

and we want our choices back in freemode

so we HARDCOREGAMERS can turn our blips of again if we want to

 

and i only want to see a Pink blip above the persons head in real life who dicided to terminate the parachute "glitch" for millions of gamers who liked it

It's a bug in a game, fair enough that there is far more worse bugs that need fixing in GTA, than this glitch. Clearly Rockstar felt it was important enough to fix it. When it allows people in MP to gain an unfair advantage it is no longer a glitch, it's a cheat.

 

It won't be unfixed or put back in the game. So bitch all you want.

Yeah, okay, but that wouldn't be cheating, just being a prick and flee. R* should fix going inside buildins glitch, enabling you to shoot from inside and not getting pwned by people outside

The problem is with a patch, it is hard to only make it only for a "mode." that would require a lot of work probably, if it's not even possible. it's either in the game or isn't, so they just made it so it wasn't. however, it may be possible to modify the update. i found in my searching on the HDD, file which contents started "GRAND THEFT AUTO IV TILTLE UPDATE #6. only problem is that if you change one character and save it, you will have to get the update again. but could be possible. just as sort of a soft mod.

I don't do multi player very often, but I just tried this and they removed the parachute glitch from the single player as well! This totally sucks, what next? Removing the swing glitch?

It makes me feel sorry for the PS3/PC people. They're about to lose the blips off functionality and probably will never experience the parachute glitch, unless they already had it on Xbox.

I have played GTA IV on all consoles and am currently playing it on the PC, and it's safe to say that we PC users still have all function ability with the settings.
