Each cutscene in Vice CIty is an IFPP thee type of files are used by both games and can be converted but are normally buggy, then on top of this rigging cutscene models in SA is hard (jaw, eyes etc), and then converting the animation from VC to SA si hard too, SA has more bones . So it would require most likely completely remaking the cutscene animation, and baring in mind the VC ones are motion captured making the new ones sync up to the audio and look realisit is more than chalenging.

Converting a cutscene from VC to SA is indeed soooooooooooooo hard, I managed to do it

. The cutscene models can be directly re-used, the IFP only needs its header changed for the new name, and then there's also the simple conversion of the scripted stuff to .cut files, which I later automated.

next building done, ignore the white faces around the windoes it's because at night they look like lighte, fixed asap, besides that all windos extrueded, detail added and pre lit, texture bugs sorted and a garage added meaing it can be used as a savehouse. Updated textures (coming soon) will make it look fully HD rather than the pixelated default VC ones, screenies below:

nightlights are bad placed, and if you wanna get rid of those white windows during the day, put the IDE line under Time Controlled Object and put em to be on just from 7:00PM/8:00PM to 5:00 AM

btw, i cant wait to see it in HD wink.gif

 

i would like to model a new mansion from scratch but if i make it bigger i maybe fuk it couse it wont fit anymore

those are VC textures made to 512x512? or completly new textures?

He makes them from scratch using the original as a templete, meaing it keeps the VC feeling, and if you ask me he's doing an excellent job, i hope to get another building or maybe two done tonight, depending what other things I have to do tounge.gif

As i said before the Tommy ped is only a temporary measure smile.gif, that is until i can fix the game crash any time the player.img is edited confused.gif

you can fix that by making your GTA3.IMG being 1GB or more, and then you can do this by extracting all player.IMG files to a folder and import em inside GTA3.IMG and you will Get a 1.1GB GTA3.IMG and then you will be aviable even to put 1024 textures to player.img

making your gta3.img more than 1gb is bullsh*t, u sure can do that, but u can just resize CJ's body textures to the res you want. bored.gif

Putting all your player stuff in gta3.img is pretty much bullsh*t imo... I've never had any problems. Ever. With high-res textures in player.img, what kind of problem would it make that it wouldn't make in gta3.img? The img is an archive of files, not some sentient file that accepts only certain kinds of food! Not sure what's up with your player.img though bam, try restoring an original then try again? confused.gif

Ok so what exactly can i do, i added a new head.dff and player_face.txd, whihc are far biogger than CJ's original, they definately work on other people's games, so why does the game crash when loading the player.img

I think that's because every texture has to have the same size.

There was a mod that resized every CJ textures, so you could add new textures with bigger resolutions. It was released here, but I don't know where it is now :S
