This mod is build upon TBoGT files hierarchy. I'm converting it to IV, then with nkjellmans IV-to-EFLC methods, it's compatible both ways (like IVSA3 will be). Your missing more than half of your downloads if it's EFLC exclusive. I will redo timecyc and more.

VCR's EFLC setup is what caused the distance crashes.

As stupid as it sounds, yes, I explained: VCR is build upon TBoGT, while IVSA3 is build upon EFLC main folder (so neither tlad or tbogt, the main folder is same as IV), but you still load it by selecting TBoGT. Nk knows more about it.

Yes, converting is going at mad speed:

 

 

Category Percentage done

 

 

Map  100%

 

Vehicles  50% (EFLC added vehicles missing)

 

Audio  80% (speech tommy in progress)

 

Weapons  80% (some bugs, stubby shotgun crashes and uzi no sound)

 

Scripts  100% (vcr_main.asi deleted and hud will be remade)

 

Peds  100%

 

Textures folder 100%

I'm doing some basic SCO scripts for start location, all hospitals, all police stations. They'll be done soon after the DropBox has finished downloading.

 

@Blaster, Great stuff.

 

Edit: Updated the DB SCO scripts, done all of the things listed above.

Sadly that's just how the models look in III era conversions. The models look all right in their original form in their original game, but they look absolutely horrible in IV's RAGE.

No there doing it in Rage now. It will look better. However it probably won't have the missions converted like what they were doing in SA.

Yes. That is what I just said. The only thing is the Rage version may not have the missions and cut scenes like what they were doing on SA. There is still a chance and I hope they make it in.

 

Also I'll give you the EFLC files later this week. I gotta make a few changes to them so everything is working properly. But are you thinking about doing MP for this?

Depends if random will help, can't be arsed to do it alone.

I may be able to help with getting the basic MP working. I know you would like help with races.

 

BTW, if its done we should call Death Match, Vice City Survivor, like what VCS calls it in the PSP MP.

RW can't provide a remaster. the engine is made for low poly stuff, and I don't mod 10 year old games.

There's already an SA retextured mod (SRT).

 

There's also the upcoming GTA III HD version, which will be released around August 2012. It really is just for III.

 

There actually is an HD mod for Vice City. It's called Vice Cry.

I saw that the VC2 mod joined with VCHD. Based on what the people said in the topic, there were screens and I didn't get to see them. sad.gif Could someone post them?

 

Also, agien sorry that its taking a long time for me to get you the EFLC port files. I've been very busy lately. I also would like to wait till VCRage has been ported to IV 100% so I can set it up like I did with IV SA and Ghostown.

 

Edit: Gangstar Miami Vindication had a swamp area, and the mod Vice Cry added it. Maybe this could be made next to VC, or away from VC to the west. I think that would be cool. VC was missing the swamp area.

VCHD & VC2 work together, one is set in the 80's and VC2 is modern day Miami.

Looks great, who modeled it? More details could be added, dirt, oil, tyre tracks, colums on the walls, actual windowframes, etc.
