It would be like you can see the steering wheel and you can see the speedometer. Rhoda Posted February 17, 2010 Share Posted February 17, 2010 As soon as I get to know the city, I turn the HUD off anyway, so something minimal like we've seen in IV would do the trick for me. I like the idea the of the weapons and money fading until needed, but of course the map is always in use for constant reference. If it isn't broke, don't fix it. Just tart it up a tad. It had lots of colour for a start and also I think its good for a series to have one main constant. Since GTA doesn't have a constant protaganist then maybe the HUD could be it. When you get above a certain "speed" in 4, things don't look very different from that speed to max speed, and it can be difficult at times to get your speed perfect through turns.
