Manual Gearbox?

Is it possible to make an mod for manual gearbox on GTA IV? It would be really nice lol

There is no native functions to do this that i can see.

A cheap & easy way would be to have a script artificially limit the car speed when in low gear, & artificially limit the speed up rate (to simulate the low torque) when in high gear.

Then just add keys to change gears & display of current gear on screen.

And maybe a display of RPM onscreen.

But the engine sound would still be the same, but there is prolly a way through script to add engine sound to simulate the rev change too.
