Enemy numbers in V

As I have been playing IV (again), I found that the number of opponents you face in IV are small, compare to previous games. In previous games, on some missions you can deal with up to twenty people at a time. But in IV, other than Three Leaf Clover, you only deal with maybe ten people at most. With the new cover system, R* should allow us with larger amount of enemies, maybe up to 50 people. Maybe that's why people thought IV is too easy compare to previous games. There are just not enough people to shoot at, no challenge whatsoever. So I want to see an increase in the number of opponents in GTA V.

Yeah there’s that one mission in BoGT where you have to fight like Bulgarin’s army o_O

I haven't played the DLCs yet, so I wouldn't know. I say the more the better.

I say the less the better. IV wasn't too easy and it felt fairly believable that Niko took all those people out, and it's still fun. Shooting in the club was just a pain, it was like more than 30 guys comming for you, took forever

I'm all for mass shoot-outs, though too many adversaries at any time just feels overwhelming. For anyone that remembers the gang disturbance events in IV (one of the vigilante tasks you can complete whilst in a cop car), that's about the level I'm rather comfortable with. I can polish those off without too much trouble, and wouldn't mind around 5 or 10 more thugs. Anything much bigger and I think I'd have a problem - at some point during tense shoot-outs I always get a tad panicky and take cover behind the wrong bit of wall or car, leaving me totally exposed. Call it a nervous habit I guess. If there's going to be bigger groups of people to kill (which I personally hope), I'd want the cover system tweaked slightly, just so I don't accidentally go sliding over to another wall at the slightest hit of a button. It's that moment of disorientation that can really throw me off.

Am I the only one who would prefer to fight 5 clever, well armed enemies who use cover and tactics rather than 25 idiots who just run around the corner into the barrel of my M4?

Bit of both. Sometimes it's just so fun to unleash your bullets on mindless drones running around in circles. It's like spunk in the face of a noisy, stubborn woman.

That way, missions like Three Leaf Clover would be all the more impressive for their platoons of enemies.

big shootouts like in three leaf clover, hostile negotiation, out of commision or if the price is right wouldn't be as joyful if every mission would feature such a massive gunfight, facing about 30 - 50 enemies.

i want a good mixture.

throughout the game more melee/fistfights, half-or non-scripted car chases like in street sweeper or ruff rider.

and shootouts like in three leaf clover.
