Well, it seems the mod is totally dead. Even 0.3 isn't available no more. Happily I'm the proud owner of installers of IV 1.0.7.0 and EFLC 1.1.2.0 so if someone would love to get 'em just write.

I was a GTA IV WTC Mod since started 2011 to 2013 when I found Hbx84 was designing two amazing twin towers. He messaged me first about his laptop got stolen and his files were trapped inside his lapto

^^ It opens to the public May 15th. Normally it will cost $20 a person to get in, but opening day is free thanks to the anchor tenant of One WTC, Conde Nast.

 

The admission fee helps ensure that the 9/11 Memorial Museum’s mission of education and commemoration can continue. The 9/11 Memorial & Museum does not receive any city, state, or federal funding, so the admission charge is critical to support stringent security for a twice-attacked site, preservation of artifacts, education programs, commemorative ceremonies and maintenance of the Memorial and Museum. It also ensures free access to the Memorial for all. There's currently talks going on between me, Romerjon, and a moddler named Andy about him letting us use his amazing models for 0.4. No further details until the "deal" is finalized and the conversion process is tested.

THE MOD CONTINUES!!!

 

Andy has agreed to model the 0.4 update for this mod, and let me just say, it will be a HUGE update. He plans on modeling EVERYTHING the original complex had, including the mall, PATH station, indoor/outdoor observation deck, and Windows on the World Restaurant. The only thing that won't be in this version is 7 WTC. He plans on creating it in Google Sketchup, then once he's complete, it will be exported to 3DS Max for final touches and scripting for it work in-game. This update will be a hybrid between amazing quality and performance. Development beings in a few weeks. However, we need a team! We are currently looking for scripters, so if you are good, please comment below.

We have to see how it works. Hbx84's mod can't be fully replaced with Hbx84's WTC MOD. Hbx84 is still an owner who made the twin towers and we all have to wait for his permission before doing this.

After installing the WTC mod and iCEnhancer 2.1 on patch 1.0.4.0, all text is either random characters, or the first letter, in the case of menus. How do I fix this? Screenshots follow.

That is another mod that is conflicting to make it do that, so I wouldn't know how to fix it. Could you please list all of the mods you have installed.

 

Also, I would like to announce that WTC Mod 0.4 is now in full development! This will surely be the biggest and most realistic update of the mod to date. It is getting completely redone for better quality while still maintaining performance.

Once GTA V comes out to PC this fall, the WTC mod will be included into a NYC map mod that I will be managing. I'm currently in the process of getting modelers and such for that, so no further information.

Make sure for the NYC Subway mod you are using the provided 'American (2).gtx' file and you remove the '(2)'.

Well what do I do with the American.gxt provided with the WTC mod?

Just wanted to let you guys know that http://www.hbxworks.com/ is down (At least for me) Leaving users unable to install the mod at all.

His website is down because his domain has expired. GTA V for PC is coming and I hope there will be new stuff coming on. Man I had a lot of greats times playing the World Trade Centre Mod what Hbx84 created. :)

It may be weird but it won't be.... We have to wait for New York designers. They will make New York City for GTA V. For example GTARandom's customised map. GTA IV San Andreas.

Sorry to bump this topic.

Are there backups for the EFLC WTC 0.3 mod files? Since hbxworks.com is still down, the installers can't retrieve the required files.

 

Would anyone happen to have backup files?

I just ran the installer. It starts up, just as it used to! :)

 

I haven't tried installing it yet, as I currently don't have the time. I'll see if I can try it later today.

EDIT: I just ran the installer for GTA IV 1.0.7.0 and EFLC 1.1.2.0 only for WTC version 0.3, and I ran the installation for the Christmas edition.

 

I am sad to report that installations for only 1.0.7.0 and the Christmas edition were successful. EFLC 1.1.2.0 was not able to install, due to availability issues that the installer reported.
