Maybe what this mod needs to add more close up detail is glue models. Glue models are the outline around the base of the buldings to add the dirty look. If you look at the map files for the rest of LC you will see what I'm talking about.

That my sir, is NOT constructive critisizm, also; why suggest things what was not there in real life? in the real WTC, there was no Statue of Liberty statue. Also, the whiteness is either your PC, or your settings. Because it's fine and silver here. Also, if textures get either messed up or go low quality. It's also your computer, because the mod contains ALOT more polys, and other things what will lag your IV. It's your PC.

so then tell me what kind of pc does this mod need if a i7 960 a gtx 580 gb gb of 2000 mhz ram is not enough then what does it need? unless offcourse this mod needs a ssd as thats something i don't have

ManDog you sir need to get some lessons on where the statue of liberty is and where the wtc was located.

 

He was giving feedback and romerjon if you can't take it then it is YOUR problem.

 

RomerJon I found that video kinda easy to do for days to be done.

You could change the snow to "add" so the whole black borders won't show up.

 

Also try to get the no watermarks mod cause it looks UNPROFESSIONAL with the whole clip name and such.

 

Just giving some criticism and telling you to build up a mind to take on people giving hard feedback if it is too bright ingame it might be due to the specularity or specular map settings on GIMS.

 

HBX This mod is amazing as it is.

 

Don't let other people mess with your mod or topic.

Well if you can't take simple criticism for your work then I'm afraid you're going to have a hard time in the future if you keep hiding behind the positive comments and not embrace the negative ones for what they are. Everyone gets criticized one way or another and that's one of the key elements in art/work.

That's weird. I only have a Q8400 and a gtx260 and I get no lags nor flickers at all...

Edit:One mistake you made. The christmas version isnt compatable with EFLC because the snow mod doesnt fully work on EFLC. 

 

Glue models are a good idea ! I'll look into it...

And yes it isn't compatible with EFLC, but that's not a big mistake, I'll talk about it in the mod description.

They're objects that can be found via trainer, of course he implemented them onto the stage itself so you don't need to spawn them.

They are stock. Ive used them before. You can find them in the more objects section on the Simple Native Trainer.

@Blaster: So I got to ask then. GTA IV does it differently with the scripts? I remember in GTA III, VC, SA, LCS, and VCS, if you changed one thing in the main.scm save games won't work. But what I'm asking is that in IV are there scripts you can edit and still have your saves work? I guss that could be true because Rockstar has modifyed the scripts slightly in patches and the saves still work, and they still work on older patches.

@Hbx: I like the installer where you can choose which version to install. However I want to ask. Is the normal WTC IV icon just V3 that was aready out or does it have updates that the christmas one has minus the christmas stuff and the snow?

This happens in the loading screen. I am loading original GTA IV 1.0.7.0. I have the snow mod installed. However I have a different materials.dat so the car tires look like they kick up snow. Also with the snow mod (with out the WTC installed) I can't load save games because it crashes. I can't load maltiplayer because it crashes. I can't load TLAD or TBOGT because it crashes. I can not sign in and start a new game and I get into gameplay. But from there I can't load any saves, and I'm not sure if I can start a new game after I get into gameplay. However this just crashes. V3 (latest non christmas WTC version) crashed for me on TBOGT DLC but I had to revert one of the EFLC episode files back to the V2 one and it worked. However I have no idea what is wrong. I don't have any mods on the copy of the Snow mod I had and it worked before I had the WTC. Lucaly I made a copy of the snow mod so I can play with (maybe if I can get it to work) and with out the WTC.

I think you may of made a mistake because getting the mod released seemed to be kinda rushed. Not that you did a rush job but the release date snuck up on you so you probaly had to rush to get the mod released and accedentaly left something out.

 

BTW did you say on the download page that the plazza has Jazz music playing during the day and electro playing on the stage at night?

 

@Blaster: Ive been in the script.img. There are alot of scripts in there. Maybe not all of them effect save games and they are more like add ons. Now that I remember when I was working on EFLC map updates to IV I tryed to see if the bowling scripts would fix the bowling ally bugs. They didnt but the saves worked. The game crashed when I would go by a bowling ally. I guss it crashes in the III era games because all of the scripts are running from one script file. Thats why cleo doesnt effect save games.

Edit: When replacing the files back with the normal ones I noticed the ide and the wpl were modded but the img was the original one.

 

Edit 2: It worked. I think you accidently put the wrong manhatsw.img in the file, because like I said it was the same size and the last time it was modifyed matched the original file. The wpl's and ide's were different though.

 

Edit 3: I like having the music in the mod. However is this a possability? I'm wondering if you can only get the music to play on the plazza and not in the lobbys. Also is it a possability to put it in "interior mode"? What I mean is the sound quality is too good. That means it sounds like your hearing t when your in a car. Maybe if possable to turn the music down, with out messing with the settings I mean or turning down your speakers. Also when the music is in "interior mode" it just plays the music, and there is no DJ's or commercals. Also when you drive your car onto the plazza you can hear the radio station your listining to.

I could look into it. But you shouldnt delete the subway enterance. You should edit it so it goes into the WTC 2 lobby like the Path train station enterance did. I'm not sure how to edit culls, however I could try model swaping it with something small. What are the names of the objects for the subway that go into the WTC 2?

 

Edit: For the audio, you should take some songs you want to play, and edit them so they sound more like they would if their being played to add backround music to an area, and less like listening to the radio in the car. They can be mp3 files. Kinda like the way the SA radio works in IV:SA. Then you can edit it so it sounds more like its being played over intercoms and there wont be no Weazle News or comercals playing. It was annoying to hear the Weazle newscasters talk about terrorisom well I'm wondering around the WTC. Another reason that you should try the mp3 idea is because later on when your doing V4 with out the snow mod I'm sure you plan to make it work on EFLC. EFLC has some radio differences, and Jazz Nation is not on EFLC.

 

Also when you do V4 are you able to make the lobby's brigther during the day? Another thing is maybe someone can help you remove car paths on the plazza and not the wholl WTC. The car path fix makes it so you can't start a game in maltiplayer, but it may work with a custom file rather than a deleted one.

I think its v3 and doesnt have anything new.

 

I know of a way to get EFLC to load GTA IV. Everything should be compatable too. If you have IV you don't need an activation key. If you can't atleast get the game files on your computer ask someone if they will send them to you. Just see if you can get at the files then do the following.

 

Be sure to back up all files.

1. Make your copy of the EFLC directory.

2. Then open up the PC folder in the GTA IV install.

3. Copy the anim and the audio folder. Paste it in the EFLC folder your installing the mod on. Now rename your normal EFLC install so there is no folder called EFLC. The game loads the DLC folders from the directory named EFLC. It doesnt matter if your running from a directory with a different name.

4. Now if you want to play normal GTA IV agein with no mods back up the install or atleast the anim and audio folder from the GTA IV install.

(From here pretend that its a GTA IV install and not EFLC)

5. Now on the install that you want to play the mod on, install the snow mod just as you would on GTA IV.

6. Then install WTC 3.5 Christmas Specal. Don't install the manhatsw.ide, .wpl, and .img as they cause crashes.

7. Run Launch EFLC.exe.

8. Select TLAD or TBOGT.

9. An error should pop up. It should say something like un able to start the DLC. Start a new game of Grand Theft Auto Episodes From Liberty City?

10. GTA IV should start to load.

 

Only one bug caused by doing this. If you change radio stations the game crashes. I don't know if its caused by the SNT not knowing what radio names to desplay. I havent tested it to see if pausing the game and changing the radio will work.

 

One last thing. If the game crashes when you get to the WTC try replacing the asi scripts with the ones from V3. The game will play the radio station, and that may be an issue.

Edit: Never mind. You may want to replace the teliport.asi and delete the WTC.asi, but don't do it unless there is a crash or you don't like the music.

That beats the game not working at all. I'm sure there is a way to remove it. Perhaps you can edit the enterance cull and model so its really small. If its small the center of the model may end up inside the wall and not visable. Hopefully the model isnt used anywhere else in the city. Maybe you can edit it so it will be the path train station enterance. I can probaly help you remove it but it may be causing issues because of the MLO for the subway. I won't be able to help move the cols. Only problem is I don't know what model to look for in the files so I can delete its spawn.

 

Also I can change the music on the plazza if I drive a car onto the plazza and change the radio. You should try the MP3 idea. I think it will work, and it will be better because you can edit the MP3 so it sounds more like music would sound being played over the plazza speakers.

 

Edit: The music mod changed the radio station by the bridge between Charge island and Bohan.

Edit 2: There seem to be random spots around the map other than the WTC where the music plays.

Edit 3: It seems to play around Charge island, and south of Niko's Algonquin safe house. (Not Playboy X) I also noticed that you forgot the american.gxt for the area name.

I blocked the download ability of the 0.3.5, until the fixed version is uploaded.

I'm not at home but I still can edit the files of the archive so I will erase the manhatsw modification.

Then the subway entrance will appear in the WTC2, but it is still better than game crashes...

 

 

The American.gxt is not modified, that's voluntary hard to explain why tho...
