ddnt32
This is the test version of my Subway Train Replacement Mod, which I will publish as soon as I can understand converting process from *.wtf 3d-models to Autodesk Maya. This is a great mod! If you're talking about ".wft" models, can't you just save them with SparkIV and convert them with Zmodeler? (I don't understand anything about this, just a sugestion) Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/440208-subway-train-replacement-mod/#findComment-1059770518 Share on other sites

gorgonut
Sems interesting. I'd like to ask you how do you change the resolution from 512x512 to 1024x1024 pixels? Is it with the use of a specific program or with another way? Thank you (This has also been posted in gtaGarage) Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/440208-subway-train-replacement-mod/#findComment-1059770795 Share on other sites

Sonik-hedgehog
One of screens. I can't wait moderators OK, try to use this *.dae files of subways Tnx very much, but I also find gtaiv 3d model exporter and I'm not entirely satisfied with the result. A lot of data lost in the process of conversion to Maya. I'll have to work in the 3ds Max. Becouse after editing in Maya I must to send full model in zanoza to make the conversion to the game. Is it with the use of a specific program or with another way? To change the texture resolution is necessary to rebuild wtd file. For this there is a program G-texture. chasez
Interior looks great:) maybe you could give a try modeling a new subway car, maybe something like this one that I found on google 3D warehouse: I know, looks ugly but that's just 5 minute converting Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/440208-subway-train-replacement-mod/#findComment-1059770990 Share on other sites

Sonik-hedgehog
So I said: "This is the test version of my Subway Train Replacement Mod." In the future will be a full 3D-model. While I have had difficulty converting from Maya. Now I try to understand zmodeller. JJJ8
So I said: "This is the test version of my Subway Train Replacement Mod." In the future will be a full 3D-model. While I have had difficulty converting from Maya. Now I try to understand zmodeller. In the first post, you wrote this as a test version but also completed, so it was kind of confusing to me too But now I'm glad that you are considering about the train cab itself too. Since nearly no one changed the subway itself (chasez is discluded regarding to the post above ) compared to all those cars, buses, trucks, bikes and helicopters. Don't know how it will look like, but I'm looking forward to the future release Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/440208-subway-train-replacement-mod/#findComment-1059771400 Share on other sites

Sonik-hedgehog
In the first post, you wrote this as a test version but also completed, so it was kind of confusing to me too Thanks, I corrected description. In fact, I did not understand until this point the file structure of this game. I decided to start the analysis with the replacement of textures and sounds, which you see here. But with 3D-models, the main purpose of my analysis, there was a problem - the editor (Autodesk Maya) in which I work has no common format for import/export files with Zanoza modeller. Currently I am studying to work in zmodeller. I will convert the geometry and the uv's from Maya to zmodeller, then I will refine the structure of the model and convert already to the game. I added new version of this mod (v1.0) with more realistic noises and new sound scheme. Link to the new version will be available as soon as the moderators will check the file. Symbiote
Like I said, I love the interior textures. I think I liked the default train wheel sound better, but the new engine sound is worth it. I think I liked the default train wheel sound better, but the new engine sound is worth it. Thanks! Wait for publication of version 1.0. There, the sound of wheels completely different. Version 0.99 was indeed a problem with tact sound of wheels, I agree with you. jackmap
This is awesome! I hope that there will be a red bird version! ;-) Sorry, what does a "red bird version"? Stupid me, I forgot to clarify... A redbird is a term for the classic red subway cars. Sonik-hedgehog
Ok. If would be possible to add to GTA IV over one different models of trains, it would be cool to see there "redbird" in the game, but the New York subway is remembered their gray r142 and other trains in the city. "Redbird", as far as I know, already gradually written off in the department of transport NYC.
