Above
Just before EFLC was announced for PS3 I spent some time getting close to 100% completion in GTA IV. Now I'm getting the EFLC disc instead but can I load the data previously created in GTA IV using the EFLC disc? It would be a pain to lose this data as I don't really need the GTA IV disc anymore. You cannot load or play any GTA IV data in EFLC. You would need the GTA IV disk if you want to still play GTA IV. Ash_735
The GTA IV Saves DO appear, but they get labeled as "Original GTA IV Save File" and won't load in the game, each game has it's own Auto-Save to, so by the end of it, you'll have three auto-saves at the bottom, one for each game. I read several sources pointing out that the EFLC disc contains the GTA IV game too. So when I get EFLC it means I have to start over with GTA IV if I want to load any save data from that game? I read several sources pointing out that the EFLC disc contains the GTA IV game too. "Episodes From Liberty City" only contains "The Lost and Damned" and "The Ballad of Gay Tony". I also like to point out that because the disk is considered a standalone compilation and not a full game, it still reads as "GTA IV". The GTA IV Saves DO appear, but they get labeled as "Original GTA IV Save File" and won't load in the game, each game has it's own Auto-Save to, so by the end of it, you'll have three auto-saves at the bottom, one for each game. So when I get EFLC it means I have to start over with GTA IV if I want to load any save data from that game? None of your GTA IV saves will be affected by EFLC. Nope, as long as you leave the "Original GTA IV Save File" alone, as in don't over write it, you'll be fine, plus you'll have the Auto-Save back up which the game keeps for all of them.
