lil weasel
The GTA_SA.set file is created everytime you save and end the gameplay. You can change the resolution by entering the Options > Display > Advanced > resolution menu. Edited February 4, 2010 by lil weasel
vukxfiles
I can't change the resolution because of the infamous gta_as.exe crash. I can change everything else in the advanced options except the resolution. I've tried every solution with patches or deleting the set file but it doesn't work. Can somebody please send me the set file i requested?
drakic
Sharing of original files is NOT allowed, this isn't a file-sharing network. Just do what lil weasel said.
Andrew
It is a dynamically generated file, my set file is different to yours. Just delete the damn file and try again.
vukxfiles
Can't you read, I've done everything. Whenever I try to change the resolution the game crashes and the resolution doesn't get saved in the set file. I've found an old topic on this site where some members made set files for people with the same problem as me, but now all the links are down. Can anyone just please send me a set with 1440x900x32 resolution?
cacarla
Making files for others in this forum? That never happened. Un-install the game, delete the .set file, and then re-install the game and change the resolution.
vukxfiles
I did that already, I did everything and I'm desperate
herbie49
Maybe a stupid question, does your monitor support this resolution?
vukxfiles
Yes it does. It's my default resolution.
GTArv
What are your PC's specs? Try this: http://www.gtagarage.com/mods/show.php?id=
radioman
You have to change the resolution BEFORE you load a save/start a new game. or else the game WILL crash. Also, as has been said, the .set file stores the info about YOUR PC, and since eveyone's PC is different, it is impossible to use someone else's .set file without the risk of crashing the game. What Video card do you have? and what is the VRAM? Your video card may not support that resolution. Plus if i'm not mistaken, the .set file changes every time you run the game, so it always changes. Just curious, What's wrong with the default resolution? I do not find it to be a major "problem".? or a problem at all for that matter. lil weasel
2¢ Exactly what does the game look like in it's current rendition that you don't loke? What do you expect to see differently in Resolution that you want to see?
