Cheats & saving

I recall the game saying it's not good to save with any cheats on. I recall also reading this off of some forum. Does it affect gameplay and how?

 

Would want to buy a beach house in SA so I'm tempted to use a cheat....

You openned a can of worms.

There are certain cheats that will defenetly damage the game and others that won't.

 

Play a safe game and don't cheat and save.

 

Need money...

Do the Firefighting missions (which also make CJ fireproof, very useful),

Taxi Missions (as many in a row as possible for bonus'),

Pimp Missions,

Paramedic Missions (improves CJ's health).

Kill drug dealeres ($2,000 each)

etc.

BTW, where and when can I find Pimp Missions and drug dealers? Couldn't find them from the GTASA-site.

Pimp mission you can start if you are in Broadway (old looking cabrio). You can find it in Los Santos on Vagos turf and near gas station in Idlewood.

Drug dealers can be found on the streets especially in gang areas. They are wearing dark clothes and always staying in one place. When you came to them they will be offering you some drugs.

No it doesn't.

 

Some just cannot be turned off even after a restart, such as peds riot. Using cheats does not blow your disc into shards nor will it turn your gaming system into a Terminator machine that kills your family.

Well, it won't blow your disk, but it can stuck your game so you'll have to re-install it.

Sorry I'm going off topic but your quote was SO funny. Especially the terminator part.

That's funny because I've used cheats for the PS2 version tonnes of times, and nothing has ever happened to it. I've been able to turn the Pedestrian's Riot cheat on and off successfully. But when you return to Los Santos for the last few missions, and the time after that, that city will always be in that mode and you can't change it.

 

The only thing that has happened to my PS2 version that is most likely the result of cheating is that the game freezes when I go to the garage next to the Johnson's house, which is probably because of the "spawn vehicle in safehouse" cheat codes that I used to use quite a bit with ARMax. But that's it.
