Probably not but lets give him the benefit of the doubt for now. If he posts links to the mods he used I see nothing wrong with it, in fact its free publicity

 

I suggest you read the forum rules before posting any downloads bobbyage because I read the forums are strict when it comes to this sorta thing.

 

If you continue to update this thred I am interested only in which mods you decided were best since I dont have time to sift through 1000s of GTA modifications trying to find the best ones.

First this is what get from me and this is what you find on the first page on Srt3

 

Don't try to ask permission to used the mod for other mods. It meant to be only for San Andreas the game.

 

 

..found out about it.. SRT3! by ParoXum a Retexture work never seen so good!

replacing a good bunch of the textures in SA and perfectly fitting the hd TXDs in ProjectOblivion!!

 

..but here i come.. ..i want the whole map!! goshd*#nit!..

so i took many of ParoXums textures and edited the left TXD files with it..

..some textures made by myself plus i´m still workin on the buildings..

 

You think that I and ParoXum wasting time and after is released, on this forum we gona open 100 topics everyone using Srt3 in his way, just gathering bunch of mods put it together, for some guy like you ?

Using Srt3 for personal use whitout showing what you changed is ok, but You dare to open topic whitout at least asking for permision, so you ask me after you opened the topic? How dare you changed textures that we both spend time making them about all day, and now you show here, that will sound like : Enter here, ParoXum and BLITZ made Srt3, but enter here on bobbyage topic too cuz it took from Srt3 and making something, it's so fun!.

For what are you using Srt3 and open a topic with this mod where SRT3 IT ALREADY EXIST HERE?

and maybe u can re-pm if u are interested in u´r mod beein featured in it.

Features ? Scuze me, ha-ha ... again, open a topic and using Srt3 where already Srt3 exist here where he's already featured on this forum. Doesn't sounds dumb to you ?

 

And one of the biggest rules around here. Doesn't matter and isn't important how MUCH TIME you spend putting in a game a bunch of mods, if you didn't raise a finger to making one of them. That's way is so dumb to open a topic and give those mods where they are already here.

No. If I don't shake his head a little, to understand why the situation and why everyone has something to this boy, is better to just tell exactly and expand his mind that from now on, before he will gona open such as topics on forums he will know why. Already past this years on gtaforums, I've seen people reopening topics the same like this one, where saying "Why did you closed my topic ", "I wasted my time I put mods togheter, I want my mod reopened" opening around 2 topics because nobody did tell exactly the situation, only in some few 3-4 words that you don't aloud to open such of topics. What you think he can understand in those 4-5 words ?

 

I'm not angry at all (not always Caps-Locks represent angry and depression or anything else; no, Caps-Locks is use for giving attention to those special words, if you didn't know, but I know for sure you know that already ), something like this you can get everyday and from 20 years from now on, so I don't know why I should waste my energy and start to sweat because of something like this this.

 

Second, when come's with this types of encounters, nerner see to what problems you belong and don't tell me what I have to write and do cuz I will never interrupt your post in whatever you have write in there. I think is fair enough.

OK, I tried to stick up for you buddy, but now to are just being a first class retard. He has told you he won't give permission, and neither will ParoXum. So suck it up, move on and make your own mods.

No need for these kind of arguments. You could just report the post, like everyone said, and no need for name-calling.

Instead of putting these files in your mod, you could just link other users in the readme where can they download mods you're using for this compilation, and that doesn't need permission, BUT you're not allowed to present compilation of mods as you own work, and you have to give the authors credit.

Doesn't matter boy, if is Srt3 only. I take control and protect the hole mod and calling the shots at the moment ( I send a PM to ParoXum to see hes answer, if is fine I don't care anymore about this topic, if not your busted ) . Even if you use only Srt3 and is released from 2 years now or much more, now we gona open 1milion topics and let 1milion people like you, turning Srt3 to be used like a tool and his original Srt3 topic to be close or nobody to not enter because is useless cuz of your topics such as this one ?

bobbyage, blitz, have you read nothing that I said?! There's no need for these arguments! Just report the post and leave it, and bobbyage, read GTAGarage rules first. Here's the quote from them:

So you could just gave links in the readme for other users to download srt3, and therefore, that wouldn't need permission. And like I said, you could give Blitz and ParoXum credit, and don't present this mod as your own work.

Blitz, since this was a intention of mod theft, you could just report the post, and moderators would've dealt with it.

But since I see you don't read what I said, and continue to argue, I think this topic will get locked soon.

And you others, if he has a permission from other authors, leave man alone. What's bad in a collection of mods?

I think it's total bullsh*t that people get all butt-hurt when someone uses part of their mod that they themselves simply converted from another game giving no credit to the original author of the file. If you didn't make it from scratch, don't give yourself all the credit. I would be pissed if someone put their name on something I've worked really hard on without giving credit where it's due but if I pulled a car model out of another game and then someone altered it, I'd have no room to bitch.
