Actually, I think that supermortalhuman posted that video as a reference as to what would happen to our Charming Charlie if he wouldn't stop with the rant. //Edit :- I thought exactly the same thing. I hope we get an updated Video Editor, the one we have is good, but it lacks some stuff. They could, for example, improve the range of the free camera and let you add your own musics instead of pre-selected musics from the soundtrack. I must admit that this is a very good idea indeed and that I always wanted this feature integrated in the video editor, maybe through another patch or what ever... I, like many others, knew deep down that the dlc would eventually come to the ps3...as a result i visited gta4.net about twice a week, checking out screen shots, even reading/watching reviews of TLAD and BoGT and being so envious of XBox players...but, again, like many others i never gave up that little speckle of hope and here we are! edit: gotta change my avatar and sig...damn... visionist Posted January 30, 2010 Share Posted January 30, 2010 Whilst this is awesome news for a PS3 owner, especially one who pretty much never buys or plays anything other than GTA, I can't help thinking how the release date coincides with a possible announcement of GTA NeXt (No I refuse to call it GTA V till it's official). GTA is always announced in March for an October release. How will this release affect that announcement? Anyways i'm glad of this even tho IV itself was majorly dissapointing. Naturally I was slagged off accused of being a Rockstar cock sucker and I was a delusional PC fanboy. A lot of the people posting in here all giddy with joy were people slagging Rockstar off because they made the DLC for the xbox "exclusive". However now you have what you want everything is "ok" again I mean seriously how f*cking hypocritical can you get ? In case any one missed it I don't post on this board any more, I no longer consider myself a fan of GTA 4 or the GTA franchise so it is no longer appropriate for me to post on a GTA fan forum. The only reason why I posted yesterday was down to the fact I got wind that some people were under the impression I would be "over joyed" by this news and I wanted to set the record straight that I really couldn't give a sh*t. Now I am glad you are all whoopee doo about getting sloppy seconds and I hope it all works out all hunky dory for you guys. However I can bet my life that come 1st April there will be 200 damn complaint threads about poor optimisation, bugged game play and horrendous game glitches. That depends on what Rockstar does, I am done with GTA 4 I feel no inclination to play the DLC. As for the next GTA that depends on what Rockstar does. If Rockstar releases the next GTA on the PC at the same time as the console version I will take a look at it and see if they actually bothered to do a decent job of it this time. However the likelihood of that happening is incredibly remote, I used to consider myself one of Rockstars biggest die hard fans but even for me enough is enough. Now since I don't have much nice to say about the GTA franchise I won't be posting on this board (unlike others that feel they can hang around and slag the game off to high hell). The only reason I am posting now is because people keep dragging my name up (yeah I should just ignore the f*ckwits I know). As I said earlier I only posted in here to correct the misconception that I would somehow be jumping for joy at the DLC coming to the PC/PS3. He has a hell of a lot of words to eat - words like these: I don't feel bad for PS3 owners. This exclusive deal was well-known before the PS3 was even available so if you bought the PS3 expecting to ever get this content that's your own problem. People say "all I want is for everyone to be able to play this content" and guess what? There isn't a soul on the planet who can't play it. It's available to everyone. There's no bias or "fanboyism" or anything behind that, just the truth, and the truth is: the PS3 isn't the console for you if you're a GTA fan any more than the 360 is the console for you if you're a God of War fan. I'm not saying the people who own the PS3 aren't fans and I'm not saying that 360 owners are the only fans, I'm just stating a cold, hard fact: that the people behind Grand Theft Auto accepted a large sum of money to make the Xbox 360 the only console that gets these episodes. Don't like it? You're well within your rights to disapprove of the situation, you're just not doing yourself or anyone else any favors by crafting lies based on nothing more than your pure desire to get this content. This deal is literally nearing its 4th birthday and so far there isn't so much as a tiny shred of credible evidence that suggests that this exclusive deal will ever change, and it's not an even thing. Every official source confirms the exclusivity and as such the burden of proof lies upon the shoulders of the people who believe the opposite. The whole thing reminds me of the world of conspiracy theories. No matter how overwhelming the evidence is that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone in killing JFK or no matter how clear-cut the cause of the 9/11 tragedy are to most people there is always some vocal fringe element of people who think that their cobbled-together theories based on misinformation and rumor trump cold, hard facts. Ultimately when Microsoft shoots down one of these rumors with a clear, plain statement like "These episodes are exclusive to Xbox 360" and some biased nobody posts "BUT THEY DIDN'T SAY FOREVER!" it just makes the whole PS3 community look ridiculous and desperate. Finally some one else who realises they f*cked up with Gay Tony, the storyline felt forced, because people on forums were bitching and moaning "WHERE DA FUN?" "WHY ISN'T THIS LIKE SAN ANDREAS?", must of had an effect on Rockstar enough for them to give in, so now I'd guess half of the original planned missions were changed and the story is all over the place and does not make sense, they had a set plan for Luis and it was changed to be more feature friendly because the "fans" wanted that, the downside being it meant they had to tear up the story. The Lost and Damned felt closer to GTA IV and had connections all the time, it was more serious yet people could still have fun and the feature didn't feel shoved in, which is why i prefer TLAD over TBOGT storyline. Mostly cause I work in advertising/marketing and I know that if you have a product that can guarantee you more profits there's no exclusivity deal that will stop you (for ever) from selling it to all the available customers. That would be suicide and against every marketing "law". So, we have it now and tbh whoever thought that this would never come to PS3/PC is a very naive person unaware of how any business works in this planet. Rockstar has treated PC and PS3 gamers like scum and they will continue to treat you like absolute scum because you are all going to reward them by buying the EFLC and giving them more money. 100% true. However, the fact that GTA IV is my beloved game is more important than all this. I will pay my hard earned money to R* and reward them for their douchebaggery because of my love for this game. I don't think they will sell both Episodes for that price in Europe. Especially when you look at the price of EFLC for the Xbox 360: approximately 34€ (GAME.co.uk and DVD.co.uk). In my country is even more expensive, 49.99€. Damn... I hope it doesn't go over 35€. I can't wait to see what's the price on GAME, since I will probably pre-order my copy from there.
