Independence FM maximum song limit

Recommended Posts

Hello, I didn't find a topic on this matter, so I would like to know if there is a certain limit regarding the maximum number of songs on Independence FM. Currently, I have about 140 songs, I can hear all of them, although some aren't heard as often as others.

So does anyone know if there is any limit to how many songs you can have ?

On a side note, I find it rather funny as the DJ, Gary Sheen, always talks about the songs being sh*te, since all of them are oldies, from the late 50's to a few early 90's, mostly classic rock, so the comments are a bit inappropriate, but I definitely love the station's jingles biggrin.gif ...

Keith in the Woods

ive got about 3000 songs bunged in, runs fine almost always. sometimes the station crashes and i have to restart the game, but it happens so rarely its not a problem.

Gary Sheens brilliant, its nice to have a pessemistic brit for a DJ.

Does anyone know if you can change the directory so it uses songs from My Music folder instead of the Rockstar Games folder in My Documents? It would save me having 2 copies of music on mah C drive.

All you have to do is use shortcuts to the songs instead of using the Original songs, this WILL save A LOT of hard drive space as well as eliminate the 2 copies on the drive as you are worried about since there will be only shortcuts to songs rather than the song file itself. Just a heads up.

I guess the only limit is the hard drive space. alien.gif

If each song is about 5MB and you have a 500GB hard drive, you could probably put about 95000 songs on there.

The Windows files and GTA files are about 25GB total. So, (500,000-25,000)/5=95,000. Considering all you do is play GTA IV on your computer, that is how many songs you can put on there if you have the average hard drive. cool.gif

edit: and yes, i was really that bored.

Wow sh*t? 3000 songs!? I thought the limit was 13! LOL

I think u right. I think that's the limit. Because I use the shuffle mode and the station ain't play all songs I have. You can add many songs but I think it can run only 13 ones, as I see.
