Oh crap, they sound like crap!

 

They have totally no bass, while the whole game around has, the sounds are crap. Sorry to say that but, its just crap.

These sounds are f*cking awesome. However I must admit they aren't realistic much, because most of guns are just loud and gunfire sounds of them are more loud and annyoing than f*cking awesome and cool like in this pack. Great job.

Well I gotta say I shoot only from small caliber handguns (22. mostly, like Arminius revolver, CZ-75 etc, and one sniper rifle (KBK/s), magnum rounds) so I can be wrong.

Stop being such a f*cking asshole. Besides, call me f*cking depth but I hear bass in those sounds, and also for now it's the best sounds mod for IV. Quechus sounds sound like a big fat girl farting when flying, and the other one's (don't remember name) are too loud and unrealistic.

Well,, i understand where King is coming from. See,, some people have no true experience with real weapons. and have become acustomed to the weapons sounds of counterstrike that go BOOM BOOM and have unrealistic levels of bass and are manufactured for the purpose of exploding subwoofers. But for those who like realistic gunounds.. they know that in real life gun sound like loud fire crackers with a lout 'pop' and not 'BOOM' with a lotta bass. Bug to each his own. Its all preference.

Well,, i understand where King is coming from. personally i am not a fan of these sounds. didnt try them myself since they sound uninpressive in the video. i know that it will sound a lil better in-game but still, i dont see the potential. they seem to sound week. as others have said - lack base. realistic - probably. fun - not that much. that's just my opinion.

 

and a person can say he doesnt like a mod without knowing to mod. come on - cant u say a food tast bad even if u can't cook? he can't say he would have made it better but he can say he doesnt like it.

 

although saying is 5Hit is too harsh and insensitive and tactless. there are better ways to tell u dont like something.

 

anyways, great effort in recording these. im sure it took a lot of work and a sincere effort. thanks

anyway I do like the gun sounds, and I have used a shotgun and rifle plenty of times, and I feel like although the sounds are on the right lines, they lack a certain umph, I can't really put my finger on it though, also I'm not sure what kind of firing range you were at, inside or outside, but I'm thinking outside as the gunshots have no echoes, and in a large city such as NY, they would echo a good amount I believe.

I finally got a chance to install this mod and it is AWESOME. The guns sound SO much better now. They have that crisp crack of REAL gunfire. Even if you've never fired a gun yourself you must have seen actual footage of guns being fired before and if you have you'd KNOW that these sounds are much closer to it than the ones Rockstar made. Much closer.

 

So, if you haven't tried this mod yet, please ignore the idiots putting it down for no good reason and just judge it for yourself. I'm glad I did.

I always felt let down by the default sounds and you provided a solution. Again, to anyone who has yet to try this mod, you should at least give it a chance in-game, and see what a difference it makes ....

Wow, they're really not loud enough. Just tried playing it again, noticed the footsteps of Niko are louder. It could me me though, let's test the original game sounds.

 

nvm, i probably found the fix: In your speakers properties, turn OFF the loudness equalisation. It blew my ears off THough, the shotgun can be a bit louder.
