jackass2009
I downloaded 2 mods, both .ASI, and when I try to start a multiplayer game or go to one, it says something like "You could not be connected to Games For Windows Live." is this the message when you can't play multiplayer? How do I fix it? And if I need to reinstall it, do I keep the saves? Thanks in advance. viometrix
get rid of the mods and you will be fine, then you can go online, otherwise you need additional files to make it work with mods, BUT I WONT TELL YOU BEING YOU POSTED IN THE WRONG SECTION AND WE DONT SUPPORT MODS IN THIS SECTION. jackass2009
Okay, thanks. But I was asking what the message was. it is gfwl telling you it detects modified files and wont allow you into multiplayer... Okay, it did not say that. As soon as I removed the mods, I could play multiplayer again. But is that what it says exactly? NTAuthority
Okay, it did not say that. As soon as I removed the mods, I could play multiplayer again. But is that what it says exactly? Sometimes. Other times it says 'The connection to Games for Windows Live has been lost', 'Could not connect to game session' or 'Could not join game' - or something like it. Annoyingly, the FileCheckFix does not actually fix the issues. Excuse me? Don't support mods as in we don't give technical support, or don't support mods as in "are against them" because I have serious issues with the latter, if it were the case Stay offline with mods, you'll get serial banned and kill your game forever. Just make friends with modders, and watch them slowly go inactive one by one. Anyhow, if you got balls. FileCheckFix.ASI allows for multiplayer with mods, granted you don't have cheats or other similar changes, it will work.. FileCheckFix.ASI allows for multiplayer with mods, granted you don't have cheats or other similar changes, it will work.. Hmm, no it doesn't work correctly. The connection to windows live message is a anti cheat (better word=anti mod) measure. If you have dsound.dll (asi loader) and any .asi or scripthook.dll in your GTAIV directory, it will display this message, (or more often crash to desktop). Just the presence of these files will do the trick (a disgrace really, I want my money back ). Anyway, fcf is suppose to surpress this message and allow you to join MP, and yes as my previous post above it does work, it doesn't work, it does work and so on. Not 100% reliable. I changed to another asi loader and am loading asi from a different directory now, also scripthook.dll isn't in my gtaiv directory, now I can join MP all the time. I played tons of MP sessions yesterday and had no problems except getting disconnected from one match. Using Alexander's loader, your trainer and script hook. Yeah it seems to be a hit and miss for some, and it works 100% for others. There are quite a few people who have troubles with it though. (as I know from the trainer thread, where quite a few people complain about this issue). I even reinstalled the whole game, and still this flipping effect, hours on MP without any problems, then I would shut down the game, and relaunch it again, and find out that I couldn't join MP because live connection lost message, or some other sh*t. I now use Aru's asi loader (available with the scripthook sdk) which allows me to load asi's from another directory, and that way for me too it works 100% now. jackass2009
I think this is getting off topic, from what I read, there are multiple messages, is that all of them, NTAuthority or anyone else?
