mva5580
So I downloaded the Steam version when it was 7.49, and whenever I start a mission and it enters a cut scene, the screen goes entirely black. The scene is still happening as normal behind that screen, as I can hear the audio, if I press A it skips the scene and allows me to play as normal again, etc. But, you know, it would be nice and all to actually see the cut scenes if possible. Any solutions to this? I've already tried reinstalling my ATI driver. Thanks... ionGeneral
Have you tried installing the latest patch for GTA IV? mva5580
Well I guess I could try that but I thought Steam automatically installed patches? Would this patch even work with the Steam version? ionGeneral
Well, the only way of knowing is to try it, and see what happens. It should work fine. I don't use Steam for GTA IV, I have the DVD disks. mkey82
Try cleaning the GPU drivers and installing some older version. Also, post your specs and OS details. mva5580
Well installing the patch fixed it. Strange to me that I had to install the retail box patch on a Steam version to fix things, but then again this release of GTA IV has never been "normal," has it.
