accidentally changed the screen resolution

Hi

 

I accidentally changed the screen resolution on my GTA3. I can load the game but the screen is black i can hear the noises but in order to change it back so i can see it i need directions to the screen resolution e.g first menu 2 down then hit enter now on option menu, three down etc etc as i simply cant remember the menus in that detail.

 

This would be a great help as i cant find any screen shots of the menus on google? thought i might but no.

 

or if someone could post screen shots of how to get to the screen resolution option from starting the game that would be great.

Just one of the first menu then the option one would be enough.

Are you sure that screen resolution can cause such a thing? How much exactly did you change it?

If you want to change the resolution back to default, just delete the .set file in the User Files Folder in My Documents(XP)/Documents(Vista and 7). This will put all settings back at default.

Thanks for your help I will try this and let you know.

 

Unfortunately it is my monitor that causes the 'blackout' it says "out of frequency" and only reverts back when i close the game.

Thanks for your help your suggestion worked perfectly, all working back to normal.

 

I will be staying away from the resolution settings for a while.
