Cognitive_Profit
Ok. Straight up Info. - It is a free mode event. I am at GMT+8, the games will be played at 8:30pm local time here. - There are many locations that I have picked out that are the best for drifting. These areas include; - Normandy, Port Tudor, Acter and Westdyke in Alderney - Boulevard, Chase Point, Fortside and Northern Gardens in Bohan - Meadows Park, South Slopes, Outlook, Hove Beach, East Hook and Willis in Broker and Dukes - Northwood, East Holland, the whole southern end of Algonquin. - A track will be outlined prior to any racing. It will be a simple sprint-to-the-finish race, but you have to show some form of drifting on ALL corners. - You will be put through your paces against another driver. The first one to the end of the track while drifting, wins and moves up a place on the ladder. - You can choose any car you desire prior to the race, but you will have only 5 minutes to find one. It must have enough power to drift. - There will be a judge in the passenger seat at all times while the race is in motion. - If you fail to drift a corner 3 times in a race you are disqualified and the other racer wins by default. The judge decides this. - There will be a ladder system. The original rankings will be sorted by the date you joined. There will be drifting tournaments held on certain dates at certain times which could push you up or down the ladder. It will be ranked on a scoring system; 1 point for participating, 2 for reaching the second round, 3 for reaching the third round and so on until the winner gets 10 points and the runner up gets 6. - Cars have to be in good or excellent condition. No popped tires. - The finish line will usually be marked by a significant change, such as a road intersection, a building passed, or in most cases, two cars parked facing eath other on either side of the street (so that it is difficult for a tie. Smashing into the cars also counts as a finish. - In a tournament, the car you choose at the start has to serve you until you end. Repairs are acceptable. - 2 cars per race. - The game format will be as follows; + Midday + Low Pedestrians + Low Traffic + No Police + Melee weapons only ==================================================== Drivers Rank 1: J4ADM - 0 Points Rank 2:- 0 Points Rank 3:- 0 Points Rank 4:- 0 Points Rank 5:- 0 Points Rank 6:- 0 Points Rank 7:- 0 Points Rank 8:- 0 Points Edited January 15, 2010 by Cognitive_Profit Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/438184-ps3-drifting/ Share on other sites

Cognitive_Profit
Due to update 3.15 I cannot get online. It will take upwards of 14 hours to complete with my internet. This might affect me being able to use my PS3 online. In the meantime, try drifting this track. You start near the park and end at the Hospital marker. I suggest you try it in the early hours of the morning as there are less cars on the road.; Or this one, if it is too hard; Sorry for bad quality of images, I had only a few minutes before I had to leave to catch a bus. Cognitive_Profit
Ok, I just tried to drift a selection of cars. - The Dukes goes into a drift easily, but its length causes it to cli pthings, spinning it. - The Turismo is a bit stubbon with drifting, but makes up for it with sheer speed. - The Sabre GT is moody with its drifting style. Unpredictable, but when it does get into a drift, it holds it. - The Futo is like the Dukes, only shorter. - The Ruiner will drift, but only at decent speed. - The Sentinel RS will drift whenever it goes around a corner, but slows dramatically. A poor choice. - A Taxi/Police car will drift slightly on corners while keeping a decent speed. - The Faction will drift well when the hand brake is pulled or at low speed. - Mananas can hold a drift, but speed is required. - Calvacade and Calvacade FXT will not drift at all. - A Sabre (Rusty or not) drifts like a school bus. Terrible. - The Banshee is an excellent car for drifting. A Scandanavian Flick before a turn will turn into a fast, controllable drift. - Blista Compacts do not drift. Period. - The Bobcat drifts nicely, but loses speed. - Vincents, although looking nice, don't drift. - I couldn't decide on the Stallion. - Feltzers become stubbon under handbraking, but will drift eventually. Poor. - Perennials, like the Stretch, Minivan, Solair, Rancher, Contender, Patriot, Rebla, Huntley Sport and Coach do not drift. - A Vigero will drift, but, like the Sabre GT, it is unpredictable unless at speed. - Oracles, like the Sentinel, drift horribly. Well, why don't you start one yourself on the forums? Its simple, I wouldn't mind if you used my stuff if you needed to. Just reference it to me if you do. Not to hate on your scoring system but I think it will be difficult to come up with a scoring system everyone will agree on. Another thing is I don't know how easy it is for most people to remember unmarked tracks but here's a suggestion, maybe position the other drifters during a session at the turns so that their player marker can function as a track marker. I'll get to work on something similar to this on XBL good luck on the PSN. The tracks might be a bit shorter than that long one, with leftoverplayers blocking the road with their cars/car. It would help on tight, technical tracks. - The race will be started by the explosion of a grenade thrown by someone standing between the two cars. It will be thrown without cooking it and far away enough so that it doesn't damage the cars drifting. This would mean; * 2 drivers at a time * 2 judges in their cars * 1 starter and anyone else is blocking the street. If there is anyone else. At this moment in time it looks like the only person is J4ADM, who is going to win regardless.
