The overall gameplay choices are. I don't want one thing too focused on. The best part of GTA to me has always been the variety in features, giving the player a little of everything. I'd like to see new things; maybe an expanded 1/2 star wanted level where the police actually give a realistic chase, maybe some new never before seen side missions or a basic Parkour system. I want to be able to never get bored of the game and always have an alternative if my current activity is getting old.

I am also going to say all the gameplay aspects that are listed there. The thing is that the GTA series never just focusses on one gameplay aspect but on multiple aspects, I do however want to see more aircraft which unfortunately; lacked (with the exception of heli-copters) in GTA IV.

I voted for environments, but I really wish there was a vehicle training program (other than driving of course) added to the game to make it a bit more realistic. Take for instance that no one can just hop into an airplane or helicopter and know what their doing (unless the protagonist has a military background involved in using them). Or driving a motorcycle or boat maybe...just seems like a lot of vehicles would require training in real life, but thats me.

Spaghetti Cat

^^I like that!!

All things equal, I'd like more side missions. One of the fun things about SA was the sheer number of activities you could do. Make GTA feel like more that just one single game.

it's really a tie between everything for me, but i voted for side missions. nice poll, it was really hard to decide between everything, but player customization, I mean I can do without, I like how it was in san andreas as optional BUT full of a huge selection.

You voted 'Environment' yet you just said you got bored of Liberty City (I'm assuming quite quickly, if not then I apologise) which was environmentally, probably the most detailed game out there dontgetit.gif

I voted 'Environment' aswell btw.

I've edited it now but I meant as in activities is very important. The actual city was great.

After 2 years of IV and 2 DLC's in an almost identical version of the city, you can't blame anybody for getting bored of it.

I like the idea of bad asses with strong military backgrounds. That's the only aspect that I liked about Niko Bellic, he was a one-man army due to his experience surviving a war and working for criminal lords.

CJ gets to train though, there's a driving school, bike school, boat school, and aircraft school in the game, and while you can drive cars and ride boats and bikes from the start, your skill increases a lot quicker in the respective schools, and you can't legally enter any airstrip without a pilot's license.

If the next GTA has a great environment and if it contains all the features, side missions from GTA IV and GTA san andreas it will be a Great game. Everything from San Andreas should return like robbery, Working out (Fat, skinny, Strong), Menu selections from fast food places, parachutes(in main game), Tons of cars and variety(special cars like tow trucks and mail trucks, big rigs with trailers), planes depending on map size, usable airports, And really back again to environment, the next game needs to be big and have countryside and cities, possibly counties and states. The possiblities are endless for the next GTA really.

P.S.: Rockstar should keep street names for the next one(very realistic), and They should bring back License plate numbers from san andreas

the atmosphere/controls of the game is most important.

but i would like to see better gun skills ie. max payne/shoot em up/matrix style dives (bulliten time could be amazing in multiplayer!),dual weapons, special one off weapons (castor troys pistols, taxi driver flip out guns, cheese wire, pick axe, plastic bag,)

and customisation atleast on multiplayer would be good

If I had to say one then it'd be environment. Like San Andreas I need to see a large variety of settings. Countryside, forest, mountains, deserts and several cities with varying locations should all return. I'd also like to see snow, swamps and maybe a waterfall.

Yeah I agree GTA IV lacked with the weapons like the satchel charges and a few other weapons. But I also like the environment in GTA SA with lots of towns and Cities and countrysides, I reckon R* should make another GTA Series like GTA SA Because I Reckon GTA SA Is one of the best GTA's out. Or Rockstar should just make another SA or SAS.

I voted for side missions/gameplay choices, but I could have just as easily voted for the environment - the two are pretty much tied in my mind. To me, the prerequisite for any wide-open sandbox game is that the sandbox must be fun to play around in, and must have a lot of things that you are able to do. Both the side missions and the environment play directly into that. If you're making an open world in which there's not a lot to do outside of the main story, or it's not worth exploring because it's so bland, then why bother making an open world in the first place? Give me lots of stuff to do in a richly detailed world - that's what I want in a GTA game. To me, things like vehicles, weapons, and customization all fall under the broader category of "gameplay choices."

I would vote for everything if i could. I mean not just one thing is going to make a game great. You need everything together to make it good. Say you have a great environment but whats that environment without anything to do and say you have really cool weapons well what if theres nothing to use the weapons for. Thats why i would have said all of the above.
