Minus the Boom

That Watchu Say song... my soul is scarred. And another song with a nagging woman's voice that I don't know the name of, so I'll just list songs with a nagging woman's voice in general.

Was that some ill-fated shot at my user name? Well, I don't even care considering that Eazy-E song isn't bad.

"This 'Albucrazy'-based band has done for MySpace emo what some think Soulja Boy did for hip-hop: turn their career into a kind of macro-performance art that exists so far beyond the tropes of irony and sincerity that to ask 'are they kidding?' is like trying to peel an onion to get to a perceived central core that, in the end, does not exist and renders all attempts to reassemble the pieces futile."

A part of me died when I first discovered this "band".

I can't be having all this Beyonce and Gaga hate. There's one or two songs by them that aren't too bad. That 'Sweet Dreams' by Beyonce had a kind of Michael Jackson vibe about it that was cool.

Meh, this is the internet. The only credible and "real" types of music here are heavy metal and gangsta as f*ck rap/hip hop. Anything that is popular with people outside of the internet and is shunned as fake.

Gaga and Beyonce are two of the most talented vocalists I know of, and definitely two of the best, if not the best, pop artists out there.

Brokencyde, They are horrible along with their music.

Towards the Pop comment: Beyonce is an amazing vocalist, I agree on that. Lady GaGa on the other hand... isn't so much. She needs her creativity to make up for what she lacks. Christina Aguilera has much better vocals than Lady GaGa & she's pop too. smile.gif

anything but one of those "gangsta" rappers who sing about cars, money, clothes and hoes they annoy the f*ck out of me and all these white kids walk around with their songs playing on their mobile phone with speakers not earphones so everyone can hear that sh*t because they think they are black and in gangs and people that ruin other peoples songs by doing sh*tty remakes

So you hate rap based on the fact that preppy white kids listen to it. I mean I can't honestly say most white kids listen to real rap, maybe sh*tty dubstep fused rap but not actual rap (I'm talking Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Kool G Rap, Wu Tang etc for the record). Also I'm not a hater of dubstep, but I'm more or less referring to some of the sh*t that's played on the mainstream MTV networks that really is f*cking dire. But still I wouldn't hate on all rap in general because of it.

As the great DJ Drama once said, what else is there to talk about? Money, clothes, hoes? Family? Yeah, that's important.

Basically dude, it's what the people want to hear. And anyway these dudes just rap about their life, which is money, clothes, hoes, cars, and killing. Why would they rap about something they don't live? I mean seriously it would be like 2pac rapping about being an astronaut.

I think it deserves some cool points just for being 'crabcore' tounge.gif. It sounds surprisingly 'emo' to me though.

I personally hate the fact that money is so extremely powerful that commercialism is the leading factor in what is seen as top-selling music as opposed to talent, originality, etc. Rap isn't to blame, though; other genres are just as bad. Rap/Hip-hop markets decadent lifestyles of cars, mansions, clubs, and woman. Country music, for example, is the same way only they focus more on trucks than cars, ranches over mansions, all of this put to a generic acoustic based song that sounds like the last. Familiar? And this music is worshipped by boys who are so content with their hatred for rap for the same generic reasons they has themselves.

All music is just as much to blame for being commercial. It's all about the industry. I understand that one wouldn't want to go and put hard work into writing and performing music just for the sake of it without the wanting of payment, but the whole issue of money and marketing is really driving unwanted and sh*t music out in the open. But that isn't to say that music out there sharing the same spotlight with said music is bad. Sometimes people need to get over there late '80s to early '90s nostalgia and just listen to music, because music isn't so much dead as it is hard to see for many.

Hands down. If you can sit through that song(or any other song by that worthless PoS band then you are a god.)

And yes. Those are guys. And all of them are gay, except the singer whose name is Dahvie(I wont use his last name as his first name is enough embarrassment) who was/is sexually involved with an 11 year slut. I wonder why he hasn't gone to jail yet?

"the blood on the dance floor" should have come from someone's ears cry.gif terrible

I can't stand those bullsh*t rappers who ruin classic songs by recording over them their terrible voices talking ("rapping" has never been "singing" for me) crap, it's ridiculous

also I can't bear all that emo thrash, it gives rock a very bad fame, real rock has nothing to do with these pseudo-rebels who pretend they're singing (by which I mean screaming) and scratching mercilessly a guitar, producing nothing but noise

The worst song ever?

That's a pretty tough call, I could do a pretty accurate top 10.

Without narrowing it down, I can only tell you the three crucial elements of the worst songs ever.

1. The pretentious song takes itself very seriously, it does not know it is a douchebag.

2. With vapid disingenuous lyrics that pander to a trendy demographic that'll be played out in 6 months, an annoyingly catchy hook and no relevance to anything resembling originality the general public eat it up.

It does inexplicably very well and is played on the radio every half hour on the hour.

3. Two years later people wonder what the f*ck they were thinking listening to that garbage or they continue to support new recycled garbage they will regret two years from now but deny ever liking.

From there you have a very long list to work off of.

What happens when a sub-par band does a cover of an overplayed classic rock song? you get this piece of sh*t flooding the airwaves for months on end:

Worst cover of 2010 for sure.
