Seddo
That was a quick turn around, seen an interview on telly yesterday with Toby and he was saying things were going well and now i've just seen the news and he's pulled out. Way to early for a re-boot though.
n11lc2
great, now people can waste their money on this sh*tty movie later.
Gezim
Dumb in my opinion, and dumb on Sony's part for being fags. I thought things were going great. Sure the third film wasn't as spectacular as some of us would of wanted it to be, but Spider-Man 4 seemed promising, since they took ages on the script before shooting. I'm not looking forward to this at all. What, are we gonna go through the Green Goblin again? How are all the villains going to work out? (btw same like Seddo said, I saw Toby on Jimmy Kimmel and he said things are going great and then this happens. It was literally a couple days ago.) Oh well. Uh, the films have been out long enough now to forgo spoiler tags. You could make the argument that as soon as something is released it's open for discussion. I mean, where do you draw the line? Do I need to use tags when discussing the big twist in Planet of the Apes?

Though it would be cool to see him do something like Drag Me To Hell next... Also, am I the only one who thinks Soylent Green looks quite tasty? The food that is, not the fim itself. I just think that if any spoilers of any movie are to be discussed, it should be spoilertagged. If you were going to watch the Godfather, told someone, and they talked about the ending in front of you, wouldn't you be mad? Or would you just say to yourself "Well, it's been out a long time. I guess I deserve it because I haven't seen it yet."? Let's be realistic here. The point is, there're people everywhere who haven't. And not all of them are just going to shrug it off. teh mor u no Edited January 13, 2010 by Useless Dave
Goodfella.
f*ck, I was really looking forward to Kraven's last hunt. At least Thor's gonna rule. Word to both. Maybe Kraven's Last Hunt will be adapted in the reboot trilogy... it sure is darker, if that's what they're looking for. Since the first Spider-Man I've wanted to see the death of Gwen Stacy, I think it could be really heartbreaking on screen. I just don't know how they'd do it, as I can't imagine them repeating the Goblin story + Norman's death.
makeshyft
Let's be realistic here. Let's be realistic here. Exactly. Let's be realistic here. I'm not going to use spoiler tags on a five year old film just because a handful of people out there are too f*cking lazy to have seen it yet. That's horsesh*t. It's catering towards a bitchy, vocal minority. See the film, or avoid movie discussion boards (particularly a thread about a series of films you haven't seen yet, you f*cking genius). Once something is out, it's open to discussion. Let's be realistic. I'm tired of walking on eggshells because of you few wankers who can't get your sh*t together enough to see a film. At this point, it's up to you to avoid seeing spoilers, not me.

Don Garcia
I hope they get a more imposing lead actor. I know Pete is supposed to be a nerd, before he gets bit, but he was a studmeister once he turned. Tobey is 24/7 geeky, and that always bugged me. I don't think you've got quite a grasp on what I meant and for that, hey, I'll let that slide. If GTA V came out, and you were planning on getting GTA IV but hadn't any money to your name for it, and you just wanted to see the news, would you like people to say the ending of GTA IV regularly in a post? hai its been out liek 2 yeers lololol Lazy? You're calling people who haven't sat down to watch an hour long, or longer, film lazy?...What? And you're going to cough up an attitude about what is lazy, and what is not, when spoilering is so easy? The irony is strong with you. My original post was not aimed at you so I don't see why your panties are in a bunch. Spoilering is so easy and lets you discuss things without ruining them for others, yeah? WOOPS I JUST DID IT OMG I'm not going to argue with you any further on the forum, so if you feel the need to keep on complaining about how the bad man Dave has a point(honestly.), I have an inbox. So yeah guys, how about that Spider-man 4, eh? Vulture seemed like a sucky villain anyway. Not too terribly disappointed. Loved the trilogy(except for the third, what was the deal with that?) and in a way, it'd be best if it just ended here. RARusk
A reboot? After less than 6 years? Not entirely unprecedented for these f*ckheads, as they did the same thing with Hulk. Sort of. And it was sort of better. Regardless - what a f*cking dumb idea. It's not often that film news pisses me off - I've come to expect a lot of sh*t from hollywood over the years - but this is one of those cases. There are tons of great Spiderman stories left to tell - and it could still be taken in an entirely new direction. f*ck this Disney otion that highschool is is the center of the god damned universe. Oh yeah, and f*ck Disney proper, as they're probably the reason this is happening. I can see it now: "High School Musical IV: The Origin of Spider-Man". "One day I will think of this as just another job. After all, this is what I do."
Useless Dave
I was just thinking, guys...what if they make a new movie series based off of the Ultimate Spider-Man series? For those who don't know, in the Ultimate series, things are way different, just a few small examples, Spider-Man is 15 or so and a superhero already, the Green Goblin is actually a Goblin, among other things. I think it'd be very easy, especially if they put in comic effects into scenes, like when a fight scene happens, let's say Spider-Man breaks somebody's nose, it'd show him breaking the nose normally, and then in the bottom of the screen, a replay, but a closer, of him breaking the nose, up to three times. I could see it working, anyway.
Andyzoot
So there's rumours going around that Marc Webb is being chased for the directing gig. Marc Webb directed 500 Days of Summer last year (starring Joseph Gordon Levitt ) but other than that all he has done is a load of music videos. Seems kind of strange for Sony to give a multi million dollar franchise to someone of Marc Webb's experience (that's not me having a knock at Marc Webb by the way)
Vercetti21
And a 'realistic' Spiderman? You've got to be kidding me. Realistic in the sense that the dialog is at least believable, so that characters' emotions don't seem so forced and comical. Look at TDK - it's borderline impossible, but the characters, the emotions, and the acting are so well-rounded and stay true to life. Gotham City feels real. Now with Spiderman 3, you kinda have to leap out there to go with the whole Emo Parker bullsh*t... and dancing? Spiderman shouldn't be a f*cking musical.
Otter
'Emo Parker' was a bad idea. It should have been drunk Parker, or addict Parker. The dancing wasn't bad in theory - it just woulda been nice if he did some actual dancing. But let's face it - we all know that the third film was a let down. However, Spiderman can't exist without a hint of camp. Without that layer of separation, or reminding you that you're watching a movie based on a fantastic comic book, then you'll be stripping the wise-cracking webslinger of half of his character. It'd be like, oh, I don't know, a Deadpool film where he doesn't break the 4th wall. Or.... Superman Returns. Batman is borderline impossible, while Spider-Man is flat out impossible. I mean, Gotham City only feels real if your lifeblood is crime fiction - that's what Batman is. Spiderman lives in New York (which is quite real, believe me) protecting the world from dandied-up super-powered demi-gods like himself. It requires one's tongue to be firmly in cheek. And TDK straddled that line as well - the cities crime bosses were all cheap caricatures. I'd much rather Spiderman get the J.J.Abrams reboot than the Nolan reboot, which is what I'm sure they're after. I can just see the producers in a room, pitching themselves on Glee meets Star Trek, ogling a casting portfolio full of teenage girls. Hey, might not be that bad after all. Vercetti21
Some camp is okay, and it does fit the character well, I just prefer not to facepalm after every line of dialog.

I only remember cringing at a few, and it was mainly Willem Dafoe's delivery. And pretty much half of the 3rd movie.
