Yes but RDR is supposed to have animals! If it didn't have because of all animal protection organizations, I bet even those would then criticize the game because there AREN'T animals. It's a wild-west game, animals are important part of it.

and animals are on red dead and i se people killing them for fun why not in gta but you would get cops on you depending on animal and zone.

like killing a bird would be acceptable

but i dont want to see people torturing dogs and what if you can get an attack dog for help.

I hope they include both animals and children. Especially stray dogs which attack everyone (you can get points for helping attacked people by shooting the dogs). And especially some idiot 12-16 year olds, who are like the dogs I described above, but carry knives.

I wouldn't mind animals and children around the city, as long as no one can interact with them.

 

It is all about morals, running over a pedestrian is fun because it has always been part of GTA, it is supposed to be an adult game and it won't make you go out in your car and try the same ... however, seeing someone shoot animals or ram into a group of kids is not funny.

 

GTA gets enough flack for having alcohol, drugs and prostitutes in it, do you really think it wouldn't receive an even bigger protest if it was known that you could do the above things?

 

I love RDR and accept animal hunting was part of the game, but I didn't enjoy killing them as much as people (sounds sadistic I know) because I'm an animal lover ... I'm glad there was an easy way to skinning them quickly.

I think seeing the occasional dog on a leash might be okay. But, children I think is a step too detailed for R*. Children would kind of take away from the game for me. Like if I happen to crush them with a car, I would feel bad and say, "Damn I just slaughtered a kid." I vote for animals (nothing more than a dog or even alley cat), but no children.

I think they look at it like this. They allready have enough fuzz about being rampage or going postal on regular pedestrians. If there were kids they would go over the top.

Animals could be fun though on countrysides, so you can go hunting.

How about a Hunting Mini game or a Hunting area in the country were you get money from what you hunt and you can also do this as a free roam Activity a compete agaisn't other players.

It cannot be banned in the US, but I don't know if Canada has anything protecting free speech. If it were banned for sale in other countries those people could just buy it through Amazon.com or any retailer that ships international.

If having sex in San Andreas can get it banned in all the major supermarkets and malls, then being able to kill/injure animals + children in V will get it completely banned everywhere, which will probably spell the end for the whole GTA series. But the hunting mini game mentioned by RobsEpicFret would be good.

I remember this thing on PS2 tittle "Scarface" that prevent you from shot innocent people or deliberately kill/arm anyone who is not an enemy followed by a comment from Tony like "There is a gangster's heaven, i'm in" or "if i kill this one, i'm going to hell" animals and kids may be present in the game, but that doesn't necessarily mean you have to shot at them or kill them, of course this "lock" for killing innocents was optional in the PC version, but in the PS2, at least Tony Montana keep himself from shotting innocent bystanders ( the playable henchmen did not >=D ), but pretty much like with controversial GTA: SA Hotcoffe mod, someone will end up doing something wrong and R* will end up blamed for providing the material. i definitely have no problems shotting kids, but i don't like at all the idea of animals.

Ever played online games where some ppl pretend to be bwabies? And you have weapons? They are very enjoyable to shoot Friends with plenty of normal players who also find it hilarious. Many things in this world are tragic but in the company of friends who understand what humour is and know eachother mean no harm to anyone, most all subjects don't have to be so serious all the time

 

People just need to understand and be friends with Rockstar now Shame it isn't that simple...

Obviously, there would be no way to kill kids. I don't believe it would be right to have them in the game, being able to kill them or not. There's something sick about it...

Animals though, could be cool. They were in RDR and that was fine. Police dogs would be quite cool.

I kind of agree with you.It's just a game and it's the person's decision whether they want to commit an act of crime in real life or not.FOX,CNN,And Jack Thompson can bitch about GTA all they want.Rockstar and Take-Two could have 90 lawyers if they wanted.Jack Thompson could have like 2 or 3.They would also need to hire someone to settle difference between the controversies of the game.If the ESRB rating board wants to rate it A/O,then let them do it.Rockstar probably just pays them to set it to a "M"ature rating.Just as the game is right now,the game should be rated A/O.It's not a kid's game anyways.That's what I don't like about the media.If the media wants to cry about grand theft auto,then I would just say "If you wanna buy it,buy it,if not,shutup and stop whining about it".Someone can just mod the game if they wanted to kill kids and animals as well.Like I said,again,it's not the game that's telling you to go kill people in real life,it's you choosing to do that in real life and so far,we've only had one murder incident 'claimed' to be caused by Grand Theft Auto III,but even if he was telling the truth,that was his decision,not the game.

Exactly,so if we wanted to kill kids and (pet) animals in GTA,then we would have modders create it for us and plus,don't you think that everything done in grand theft auto is already twisted and sick?

I say no kids, but young adults (18-25) should be more prominent and there should definitely be animals. PETA would go nuts, but... they always do that...

Animals I can deal with, but would rather not see them since I never had any problem with only having some fish and birds in the previous games. If they add a countryside to the map like we had in SA and I'm tearing through it in a 4x4, it was annoying enough having to swerve out of the way of trees and cacti, it would be even more annoying to add cows, bears, and horses to the mix.

 

And as for children, no, not only no but hell no. I know it's just a game, but if you need for there to be killable kids in a game, then you just might have some problems. If that's not the case, then you shouldn't care if there aren't any kids in the game and shouldn't have any problem with there not being any.

 

It's GTA, it doesn't need all these things to make it more realistic. It just needs to be fun, and more realism doesn't always mean more fun.

Kids should have a limit, Like only see them after school hours, and on weekends. If you killed a kid on accident, 4 Stars automatically. Animals.. I don't know what is wrong with them. I would love to go hunting in GTA
