There's one thing that BLOWS about Gay Tony.

No Massive B Radio, aka, the best radio in a GTA ever? WTF!

Other than that, I'm really loving this game. I just started last week and it has been a blast so far. Good ol' silly GTA. (The mission where you push the celebinator out of the helicopter and then have to catch him was epic).

Worst radio in GTA

this didn´t even deserve a topic.

As I understand it, Massive B Soundsystem is one of the least popular radio stations in GTA IV. That's probably also the reason why it was not added to in the DLCs; R* chose to focus on those radio stations that were either more popular (say, Liberty Rock, Broker, The Beat) or could add some particular new atmosphere to the DLCs (The Studio, Vladivostok, LCHC).

Learn to English, buddy.

Massive B is epic.

BADDA DEN DEM!!!11!1!11! lol.giflol.giflol.gif

I don't know how you can say "That radio station is bad". It all comes down to opinion and taste. Sure, it might be bad - but that's according to you. Give the OP a break, he's a bit pissed because his favorite radio station isn't in BoGT.

(But still, this maybe could've been posted in a "What did you hate about BoGT?" topic or something.)

As I understand it, Massive B Soundsystem is one of the least popular radio stations in GTA IV.

Probably because most of the players are teenage white kids from the suburbs. Coming from a white, albeit raised in prominently minority filled South Florida neighborhoods, Massive B is the sh*t. You just need an understanding and appreciation for the music it plays.

Given that statement, there is no real way to say that any radio station, in GTA IV or otherwise, sucks, as it's all personal opinion. Even when you agree with someone else, it's all personal opinion. One love, man, just appreciate music for music.

Want to hate on something? Go crash a Nickleback concert. wink.gif

Im 15 white from suburbs and i enjoy massive b. try not generalizing next time.

Massive B was freaking fantastic. Call Pon Dem, Badder dan dem, the mavado song, youth dem cold, munga no afraid a, drivah!

My favorite gta station of all time. Do you know why I'm pissed though? Because they removed the station, and in replacement they added other dancehall songs that are horrible. Bummer.

Like some of the people on this thread, I'm one that likes listening to Massive B. The others saying "it sucks" have no desire whatsoever to expand their taste in music, and definitely are ones that would say Bluegrass music, Swing music, and Classical music sucks without really listening to it.

Anyway, Massive B isn't on EfLC because R* would have to pay a lot of money to relicense all the music that appeared in IV, and they didn't want to do that. So instead, they just put in the music that they added for each DLC and added three new stations: Vice City FM, Self-Actualization FM, and RamJam FM (the latter two being, in my opinion, replacement stations for The Journey and Massive B...so much for the statement about it being "the least popular station").

I didn't say it was a bad radio station (although I don't particularly like it myself), just that it seems to be one of the least popular radio stations among the GTA IV players. At least that's the impression I've gotten from reading threads and polls here on GTAF since the game came out. The most popular seem to be rock stations and rap/hiphop stations, which would be no major surprise IMO.

Personally, I didn't get why they added RamJam. To me that radio station makes no sense in the setting of either TLAD or TBOGT.

As I see it, LRR and LCHC made sense in TLAD and The Studio, Electrochoc, Vladivostok FM and Vice City FM made sense in TBOGT (Self Actualization FM not so much).

And for the record, I didn't name MBSS the least popular radio station, only one of the least popular radio stations, and I stand by that statement.

The N. Bellic Man
I would have said that massive B radio was sh*t...until I remembered:

BADDA DAN DEM

That was the only good song on Massive B though. I would take Vice City FM and its multiple good songs over Massive B anyday.

Same here. Badder Den Dem by Burro Banton was the only one that I really liked. Now I have heard too many times though.

OK, OK...my apologies for slightly misquoting you.

I don't think every single station in the game has to make some sort of sense for each story. R* was trying to create a sprawling metropolis with Liberty City, and in a sprawling metropolis, you'll hear all kinds of music from mainstream music to your not-so-mainstream music to the nostalgic music that was ONCE in the mainstream...

...BUT...

If you want to make sense on why those stations are there, I'll just go off on a limb and say that RamJam FM is in the game because (somehow) Beechwood City, which has a high concentration of people of West Indian descent, still exists somewhere in LC, and Self-Actualization FM is probably in there just to offset the high-energy music you hear from the other stations, serving as a station you can listen to when you just want to chill while you're driving around the city, just like Tuff Gong, The Journey, JNR, and to certain extent, Fusion FM...

...that or it's meant for the pedestrians that practice Tai Chi in Middle Park.

How can you not like Brrrrrrrrttt! I love cruising down the streets of Liberty City and blastin' that sh*t. Also, moving the car to the beat and going nuts!

I hear that song everytime I spawn in my Bohan safehouse. I f*cking love it. I'm kind of nuetral on this. In my opinion, it's not the best radio station (a tie between LRR and Vladivostok FM (GTA IV version)) but it's not the worst (The Journey). I am kind of sad they took it out of your version, I guess I'm lucky I downloaded it. smile.gif

Holy sh*t, that song is epic. I love swerving through traffic in my Ruiner with cops on me with that playing.

God that song annoyed the sh*te outta me!

Yeah shame about the Vibe...it had potential!

right on, dawg... on top being irked that R* split the TLAD online population with two different versions of the game I was super irked to find MASSIVE B gone. I recently got into that station while playing TLAD.

HOWEVER, MASSIVE B radio still plays in TBoGT in the bar where you shoot pool.
