I really like both of them, the second one a bit more, maybe. The tree details are very fitting and realistic. Nice icon14.gif

I watched a '100 Greatest Arnold Lines' tribute the other day. Definitely gave me a chuckle when I saw your drawing.

I switched from microns to Prismacolor black ink pens. They work a lot better with prismacolor markers, and they don't rub or fad as easily when run over by an eraser. Thanks for the words, guys. I've been busing my ass trying to get these pieces finished for a show I'm doing next week. sh*t sucks when you have deadlines.

What size Microns you use?

I usually work in smaller scale, but my base lines are usually heavy, so I start with .45/.50, and then use .25/.35 for details and stuff.

I haven't actually used a pencil in a long time, I've been doing just ink, I should pick one up.

Used to* between 005, 01, and 03 regularly, then 08 for heavy lines. The prismacolors are the same size, but those are my go to's. The prismacolors have great brush and chisel tip pens too. The brushes act a lot like copec markers, but finer.

After thumbnailing (really quick small ink sketches for composition), I always start with pencil no matter what medium I'm using. It still really helps me out with getting structure down after a few passes with the pencil at full scale. Then the ink, then color, then ink touch ups.

Forgot to mention that the canvas that OH NO quoted was done with guache first, then lined with black pen to make the outlines pop.

thats answered the question I came here to ask. Also yeah man I also use prismas, can be expensive but worth it. Theres a few shops I can just pocket them as well, so that helps.

Aw man, you're the reason art stores up the price of individual markers, or don't display them altogether.

All these sold!

OH NO, I've never tried spray paint or airbrush. I feel like my style is too sketchy to really have any good control for a spray can.

I know it's bad form to hate Mods, but I officially hate the OP.

He has far too much talent for one person; his art is consummate in conception and execution. He has an eye for composition and form and, to make things even worse, a huge amount of natural ability when it comes to comitting his concepts to a final medium.

I'm not surprised his artwork sold... it's the only way the rest of us get a slice of that kind of action. Bah.

Very very very good! I'm a fierce critic of 'wow look at my art oooh isn't it good?' threads. Nothing to criticise here... it made my day!

Hey, thanks man, I really appreciate critical feedback way more than anything else.

I've been pretty busy with some show posters, a beer label, and some merch for my band.

Speaking of which, preliminary screen print design for our first full length. The right side of the design is the front, the left side is the back. Still haven't begun on the interior though. It's going to be printed on brown recycled chipboard, so I brought it into photoshop to try and simulate the material so I could see what the colors would look like on it.

New show poster I'm working on. Done sketched, then cleaned up in photoshop. Going to print it on watercolor paper, then experiment with different media (watercolor, guache, marker, colored pencil) for the color. I'm going for a kind of Art Nouveau look. Thoughts?

Your typography is awesome, very unique and "you". Nice and clean too. You really do have a unique style and it's really good and you seem to get a lot of work too, which i'm not suprised of. Great work man.
