Janitor
Your work is very detailed and imaginative Moon, awesome stuff. What magazine are you referring to? I'm really interested in picking a copy. Edited April 5, 2010 by Janitor
Tyler
Man, your work never ceases to amaze me, Seb. The best lined skylines I have ever seen I do dare say. Edited August 25, 2010 by Unoriginal44
Moonshield
Update!  Experiment with some different distances and techniques.  House for my sister’s wedding present to her friends. Please excuse the sh*tty picture quality.  Quick sketch of what I’m going to do to refinish my old strat. I’ve stripped the paint from the body, and will probably keep the natural finish, and then rout out the design with my routing tool, and stain the grooves. Unsure about the pickguard color right now. The one right now is white, but I was thinking maybe a light blue or green, or a cream, tan, or brown. Maybe turtleshell brown?  edit: Forgot this one. txdeditor
I love them dude, First one the most. I think that guy in the front could be plain painted, like plain black spot, instead of this, i think that'd look better. But it's still amazing, especially trees. Pico
Dude, your architectural/house drawings are f*cking great. Have you ever tried large buildings, possibly crazy conceptualized ones? I bet you could come up with something wild. Keep up the awesome work man  Oh, and the first thing to come to mind for the mountain/wilderness one: Bob Ross. Huricannez
Moonshield I would go for a black pickguard with black knobs and black pickup covers. I have a guitar and I think that this design would look killer and different.
Otter
Seb, you ever watch any of Bill Plympton's stuff? I think you'd get a kick out of it. Â Those latest ones are great!
Moonshield
A quick update: Â For those of you that haven't seen this in the guitar topic. Â Stripped the gross 3mm-thick black paint, carved out the design, then stained the grooves.

Tyler
The sort of style you draw with is pretty neat man. It makes the tone feel a bit more comic-style, but with a deep attention to outline in body structure. Your sig is giving me a mild seizure, so I'll make it short. Good work man, hope to see more soon.

Moonshield
Thanks man. I did everything in Photoshop with my tablet; first the linework (I smoothed it up with livetrace in illustrator), then colored it. If I'm going to use PS at all, I usually do all the linework irl then touch it up and color it in PS, but not this time. The problem I have with doing linework with my tablet is I sometimes can't get the line quality as well as I can when I draw it by hand. Moonshield
Actually I do. In terms of caricatures, I set up in the squares around town and draw real people that stop and pay me, and sometimes I do private parties for hourly rates. When I get work, I can bank. Festival season is great. And then I do those Architectural renders for real estate groups and Architects when they need them, and some graphic design stuff too. Woah, I had no idea you were one of those guys. Is your city filled with tourists? I think it would be hard to get locals walking around to pay for it. Moonshield
Haha, one of those guys? Well, when I was in high school and into college, I worked at the local amusement park doing it, so I've faced plenty of adversity regarding paying for pictures that make people look like cartoons. Cincinnati's a big enough city that doing it after sports games or setting up after dinner or near bars that locals get them still. But it's not like a city like NY where there are tons of parks and squares for me to ply my trade.
The Guru
That's quite cool. Just out of curiosity, how many times per week/month/year you do caricatures?

Cincinnati's a big enough city that doing it after sports games or setting up after dinner or near bars that locals get them still. But it's not like a city like NY where there are tons of parks and squares for me to ply my trade. That actually reminds me of a Cardinals game I went to in St. Louis last year. After we got out of the stadium, all I could see for blocks were musicians and pan handlers. Weirdly enough I didn't see any artists, though I probably might of tried getting a caricature out of them. Â I did the whole 'street-side duo' thing in high school with my friend on the harp. It doesn't work as well in a small town, I'l just let you know right now.

Galactic Viking vs The Space Apes The first piece is a series of comic pages I'm going to print out on newsprint paper to give it an old school feel. Tyler
The Cincinnati Seblasto draws all but nigh! Arbitrarily enough, this is another good work man. I can definitely tell where the New Vegas inspiration comes from, bein' a desert and all. Seems like you watched Mad Max right before drawing this, or is that also NV? I need to check that game out. Anyway, the comic sort of feel is petty nice, keeps it from getting over-complicated, but still looks very neat, nonetheless.
