Punk-in-Drublic
Liverpool, because its the pool of life. This. And because I know the city more than any other city, it has a nice cultural atmosphere and its just great for a good piss up. But if I was to choose a city to live in it wopuld have to be Manchester, due to its awesome punk scene and its even awesomer ska-punk scene. Theres also about 6 big squats in Manchester that often have gigs and sh*t, one if my mates lives in one of them.

MarcoGT
Well I haven't been to many cities so I can't really say, some look real nice on tv but you never know what they're really like until you go there and see what it's like for yourself. I don't think I'd have a favourite any way because all cities have their good and bad things so you like them all differently. What I'd like in a city is a place with nice hot weather over half of the year and somewhere with lots to do and a really nice place visually. A city like that would be a city I'd like for sure. What I don't understand though is why would tommyboy make a topic about favourite city and not even say his, so what is it tommy? trip
I'm a born and bread Philadelphia kid. I was also lucky enough to have spent solid time in almost all of the major US cities(and a bunch of the smaller ones). When it came time to settle down we had to figure where to set our selves. It was a toss up between NYC, New Orleans, and Philadelphia. We settled on Phila. There is no other city like it. It's not as dirty as you might think, There are nice big streets with nice big trees. The people are a big part. A stranger will go out of their way to help you out if needed and the same stranger won't hesitate to call you an ass hole if warranted. If someone says 'good morning' to you on the street, they mean it. The-King
Among the few places I've been I have to say Washington DC was the best, I loved it, despite the fact that the city was an utter mess as a result of the inauguration when I was there, it still managed to blow me away. Just something about it felt really amazing. My favorite that I haven't been to is probably Kyoto, it looks absolutely beautiful from the photos I've seen and I have a thing for historical sites. |PropagandaIncorporated:|: Steam:|: DeviantArt:|: Last.FM|
Rebel
New York by far the best city I've been to. Only went for a long weekend, but did a sh*t load of things within that time (and still missed out on a lot!) beautiful seeing the whole thing from the very top of the Empire State, and then seeing it from the river at night time. Also just seeing how busy it was at like 11pm/midnight in Times Square was just crazy, although I got some pretty decent pictures minus the crowds. I'd love to go back whenever I have enough money. Pico
The most known cities I've been in are: Chicago, IL Springfield, IL Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin Marquette, Michigan Out of all of those, the Dells have the most things to do, but that's just really a tourist attraction. Springfield is just the same, except there's only historical things in place of water parks, fancy hotels and entertainment type things. Marquette was basically the same as my city, so I wouldn't call it anything special. Chicago, I guess would have to be my favorite, I'd say. At least out of the ones I've visited. I've been there about a dozen times and I love the atmosphere there. It's busy and big. When you're there you feel like you're a part of something. Rain or snow, day or night, it's always busy with people walking around. But the biggest deal breaker is traffic. It's just nuts. Cabs and citizens drive like assholes, it's too crammed and too hectic. I couldn't imagine not having insane road rage there. I'd have to walk or use public transportation everywhere. And as a car enthusiast, that wouldn't work for me. I can't really pick anywhere else, as I haven't been there. There's other places I'd like to visit of course. But, wanting to go there can't influence my decision on this topic.
Zotak
I might be biased, but of course my favourite city is Hamburg; besides the few cities I've been to, what else could it be if not the one where I live. How could I have any other favourite city unless I've lived in another one for, lets say, at least 6 months?

Punk-in-Drublic
Since you mentioned Belfast, it reminded me of my favourite non UK city, Dublin, I love Dublin. By the way, I misinterpreted the thread, Manchester isnt one of my favourite cities, just a place I wouldnt mind living due to the punk music scene. Always wanted to visit New York myself.
