Bullet Show Time

 

Watch the kills in snapshot sequence and in slowmotion

 

Function-X- had the idea to show fancy camera moves + slow motion when you shoot a ped

 

Hey ZAZ i have a small idea, how about some fancy camera moves + slow motion ?

like matrix/max payne style...

for example when you shoot a ped, camera rotates around him and slow motion gets activated, and maybe the ped who got shot gets forced back a little from the impact.

I tried it and got an amasing result

You will like it to play your battles in a new manner

The red text "zoom" indicates that the script is catching your target

 

It work not allways and not with every ped

It works only with peds on street, police, emergancy in off mission state

Taste it and have fun

Oh my god, ZAZ that looks amazingly wonderful, this is a great Christmas present !

i tryed it now and it works like charm, SA now have great action moments with this script, it feels like a part from a cutscene or something, i think it will be really good for doing movies too, i just can't stop shooting everybody biggrin.gif

Pretty nice indeed, but would be more awesome to actually see the bullet.

 

Like when you shot with the sniper on Max Payne, the camera follows the bullet and PAM!

To see the bullet, yes, would be cool, not possible in that script. The snapshot view in my script requires an dead actor or if he leaves a vehicle or an explosion near the actor.

To show the bullet needs to show the ped by every shot. This would be annoying, especially because the player can not aim while snapshot view.

And why it happens rarely with the gangs ? it happens sometimes but not always...

Other stuff:

Sometimes the effect happen when random peds kill each other, but thats cool !

And sometimes the peds attack the cops for a random reason, but thats cool too biggrin.gif !

Also do you think if i added many of this script, the effect will happen more ?

Yes, no problem, needs an extra version. I thought I should show an indication that the user get feeling how the script works.

I know but I can't manipultate it.

It's because of the conditions which are necesary to get the peds.

It happens If you demaged a ped but didn't kill him and instead another ped kill him

 

 

Also do you think if i added many of this script, the effect will happen more ?

Don't know if it's possible. It could cause problems because it's a lot of work for the engine.

But try it, just copy and paste the cs file

Well, it's a hard script for the engine. It keeps max. 16 peds at same time and if a ped is driving, it get also temporarely the car.

You can see that the cars sometimes goes mad, e.g. stucking in others or do a circle.

I recommand to remove the script if you wonna play storyline.

Update

 

The function must be enabled now by keypress

Press B and S together to activate the Bullet_showtime function

Press B and S together again to deactivate the Bullet_showtime function

 

In addition a alternativ script version is available which don't show the red text "zoom"

Sorry, it's not possible. The game engine don't catch every peds for the script. Possible would be to write a battle mission which shows the dead of every mission actor.

Actually Zaz, you can get every ped in the game and store him in a variable by using a loop. Give this a shot to try to implement:

It's a very cool mod, by the way wink.gif Useful for Machinima makers in quite a few cases.
