GTA IV has stopped working.

alright i have vista x32. I installed all the updates (.Net Framework, Service Packs, or whatever) a few hours ago. I downloaded GTA IV (yeah for free and no not legally) several months ago. The crack that came w/ it had the drunken camera problem so I got a different crack (a replacement for SecuRom). About a week ago, I discovered mods. I used MagicIV to make the game moddable. I got a few mods (a trainer, a godmode mod, and a rapidrocket mod. I have no .4MI mods because they would never work.) Today, I tried to move the original folder that I downloaded to install the game to another disk so I could free up 27 gigs of hard drive space. It contained the two .iso files that were needed to install, but not play, the game. I tried to play as the file was moving, but I kept getting an error when I tried to open it saying xnet startup failed and to either restart my system or reinstall the game. I cancelled the move of the folder, thinking it was causing the problem. I tried the game again and the error came up saying the same thing. I restarted my computer and that didn't help. I reinstalled the game, making a backup of my save file of course, but after that a message would pop up in the lower right corner of the screen saying that DEP blocked it. I disabled DEP and that just made the regular message come up saying that GTA IV has stopped working. I installed version 1.0.0.4 of the game, but that didn't do anything. The Gta iv has stopped working error is way too vague to google and see how to fix. Does anybody know what's up?
