atkins513
THIS IS A WORKING VERSION OF "REAL CARS FOR GTA 4" YOU GET 40 PLUS REAL CARS. BMW LEXUS TOYOTA NISSAN FORD ECT. Ok guys. First of all I am not the creator of this mod, nor do I want any credit for any of his hard work. As of now there is not a working version for the new PATCH 5 though, unfortunately. Until Now. Many of the files in his mod were not compatible for the new patch, such as American.gxt, scripthook, and a few others. However, the files that really matter are still completely compatible when broken apart from the install. I took apart the mod, separated out the outdated files, and repackaged it into a quick and clean zip file for you guys. All you need is for your game to be mod-able as always. He stated that it will not work in multiplayer, but since I removed the handling file, it works perfectly fine for me in multiplaye and should for you also. These are some pretty amazing cars, some have lighted interiors/dash/guages at night and more... Here is the actual information about this mod, as well as all credits to the creator. The download at the bottom is my modified download for installation. Its easy as cut and paste but as always back up your files. REAL CARS FOR GTA 4 WEBSITE WHERE THE ORIGINAL MOD IS HOSTED. http://www.moddb.com/mods/mdox - INSTALLATION - COPY THE "GRAND THEFT AUTO IV" FOLDER OVER YOURS IN THE MAIN ROCKSTAR GAMES DIRECTORY. Symbiote
Sorry this is probably common knowledge, but I haven't tried any custom car mods yet-- is it only possible to replace default GTA4 cars or can you add new cars to the game? atkins513
I'm glad its working well. I removed the original handling files because a modded handling file will stop you from being able to use multiplayer. SO without the handling file you can play with all these new cars in MP. however, if you want to have new handling you can download the "realistic driving and flying 2.5". Thats what I use and I love it... Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/436195-real-cars-for-gta-4-v02-40-cars-pack/#findComment-1059707814 Share on other sites

atkins513
I doubt I need permission considering the following: 1. I never claimed it was mine. 2. I included a link to his website. 3. I never re-released anything. 4. His mod has not been working since the new patch. All I did was correct it so that the people who had been using it can continue doing so. Im gonna check out the new vehicle pack you spoke of. Thanks for the mention. schaefft
The handlings never really have been a problem in IVs multiplayer, even with original handling lines you cant use them online. The other players games crash if you have those cars in your gta, with or without custom handlings. Source-X
Skyline + Banshee = Bad combination. The animation of entering Skyline is like when you try to enter a banshee without convertible. ZOMG LOOK! A GUY JUST GOT IN A SKYLINE THROUGH THE TOP! atkins513
lol agreed on the animation part, but these aren't my mods. It could be due to not having the original handling files but who knows.
