We don't know what mods you downloaded.

Give exact links to mods you have downloaded and what problems you have with them.

Exactly what B-$hep said. We can't tell you how to install the GTA2 mods you downloaded if we dont know WHAT mods you downloaded. Pass the link or a description of the mod you downloaded then we can help you. Although probably its a map mod or car mod wich you will have to extract to your GTA2\data folder. But still, dont do this before you tell us a description or the link of your downloaded mod.

Extract the car .bmp files to some folder.

Download and run Style Tool.

Select a .sty file, wil.sty for first city, ste.sty for 2nd city or bil.sty for 3rd city (depending where you want to put the car).

Select the car you want to replace. It has to be the same dimensions as the car you are importing. The .bmp files usually have the sprite number in the filename. Sty Tool has a sprite selector, click tool (far right button) and enter the sprite number (from filename) in the sprite selector box (those mods use 38 and 43).

Click Import in Sty Tool and choose the .bmp file of the car you want to import.

I'm surprised no one has made it easier after all this time. It might actually be less steps with the old Style Editor, it's been a while since I tried it.

I was planning this. But im busy, that's the problem.

I must develop 3 tools almost at one time: map editor, SCR tool and GTA2 STY tool.

I will talk with Jernej about that. (I know that he left GTA modding scene.)

Delfi's Style Tool could be modified to get the sprite number from the filename, save you having to find the sprite using the sprite selector. It might also be useful to display all cars with the same dimensions as the one you are importing.

Do all sprites have this number in their filenames?

I don't remember, last time i added custom car to GTA2 was 2004 if i remember correctly.

I was using the STYed from Gain software. I did not know anything about this forum or Jernej and his tools.

Finding correct palette for car was PITA.

I even found some bugs in the Delfi sty tool. I even wrote them down for my records somewhere. I will try to improve it.

I want to improve ped remap viewer also. Many people do not need this but i do.

I have some side projects with GTA2 peds in action.
