My favorite is EFLC, especially Electro chock, my kind of style music.

I also like VC and VCS, and GTA3 was brilliant.

Also GTA Chinatown wars radio Deadmau5 is cool.

GTA III had a perfect soundtrack. There were so many songs from Scarface, Double Clef FM that all the guidos would listen to, the original K-Jah reggae music, MSX and Rise FM's trance/techno music, Game Radio's underground hip hop...

The scarface soundtrack was the only music I liked in 3.

Not only did it have great songs, but it ranged from gangsta rap to country music and I loved it!

VC is my favourite soundtrack closely followed by IV. I like all of the soundtracks apart from SA, for some reason I just didn't get into it so I just listened to WCTR

GTA IV a bit unappreciated? My favorite IMO. I'm always on IF-99 or The Vibe.

Second would be San Andreas such a great range of music, from Eazy E to Willie Nelson to Rage Against The Machine.

For me I loved vice city mainly because of V-Rock, but in order here's the favorite soundtracks.

For me SA was the best, a great range and I love house music so SF-UR would be my favourite GTA Station of all time, closely followed by Electro-choc from EFLC.

Tbh, all soundtracks of GTA are pretty sh*t to me. I usually switch off the radio and listen to my own stuff while playing. Sorry, maybe it is the music choices of R* I don't quite agree with.

I really loved Rise FM, it was epic. I wish I could visit the Planetarium!

 

Also Head Radio was good and Chatterbox was funny.

 

GTA 4 Electro Choc was awesome for car chases, EFLCs version of Electro Choc was... ok. Vladivostok was always great with hits like Zelenoglazoe Taksi (Club Remix) and Pjanoo by Eric Prydz. My favorite song from LRR was One Vision from Queen.

EFLC as a whole was the best in my opinion. Vice City comes in at a close second.

 

Now when I say EFLC, I mean only TLAD and TBOGT. Combining the IV soundtrack with the DLC soundtracks ruins it.

 

It has the best combination of rap/funk/disco/dance/rock/house/trance music. You really get into a different kind of mood in EFLC because of this.

 

This is not to say that Vice City doesn't have this mood. The VC soundtrack has its own thing going on and it is wonderful, but it is not as dynamic as the EFLC one.

 

So here's my ranking, of the only GTA games I have played:

4. GTA IV

5. Vice City Stories

6. GTA III

i voted other because each game is a bit mixed

Loved the rock on SA and IV, and Vrock from VC

But i cant pick one over the other.

 

I do think the next gta should be able to stream MP3s off of your consoles hdd, and throw a dj in between (which you could choose in options to suit the style) - that games would then win!

 

But SA, IV and VC. Probably IV overall because of both DLCs, but still...

This is a no-brainer for me, San Andreas takes the vote. 10 feet above all other ones. I can give SA the top 5 spots, that's how much I love it. About every station is great, I have two hip hop stations to choose between and will listen whichever I'm in the mood of the listening to at that certain moment, then there's funk & soul, plus new jack swing and even house. The talk station was great and all that should be more than enough. Plus there's one song from K-DST (classic rock) I like which I can listen to when it suddenly appears.

All of them have listenable stuff, my opinion might depend more on if I liked the hip hop stuff that's there since it's my favorite genre by far.
