OutOfTimer
Corporate f*uckwits from Electronic Arts strike again. They've just recently ran Pandemic Studios to the ground. They bought them only to liquidise the company a year later. Standard strategy that worked for decades already with some of the best intellectual property in the gaming world (e.g.: Westwood Studios). I'd like to show you what is currently happening on EA's official The Saboteur forum. Moderators keep deleting posts that complain about everything from game stability to mission issues. And the game is broken as hell. Just imagine how it looks after EA pulled off their funding. I want to make this clear - if EA buys Take Two, GTA is dead as a franchise. They are going to f*uck us up like there's no tomorrow and in the best scenario, they will turn this game to The Sims 4. Vote with your wallets and don't let EA a*ss rape you. Now, if you have anything to say about how much you hate EA, go ahead - that's what this thread is for.

TEoS
Planning forum raids is not tolerated here. Take that sh*t elsewhere if you're gonna do it, this isn't 4chan. Yeah, EA sucks dick. Not really much we can do besides not buy their games (not hard, most of them blow).
anuj
You mean a corporation is censoring people who might be trying to convince other people not to buy their products, on their own website? CONSIDER ME SHOCKED EA has been terrible for years. Like you suggested, don't buy their products.
Chinatown Wars
Since i read this topic, im returning all of my Ea games to gamestop, even if they bring back memories. If theyre not worth sh*t, im just giving it to gamestop for free, or just throwing them out. f*ck EA

Money you give them will then be used to destroy Take Two. It's very much like Micro$oft paying for XBox ads from the money they stole from the PC users. Personally, I think Red Alert 3 is one of the few games that deserve to be bought. It has great storyline, great actors and yes... 12 patches. As long as you like games that aren't very serious of course. There's really not much else that I bought from EA, though.
copperwire93
woooow. Maybe I should actually buy Shift and RA3, they truly deserve it. You gotta be kidding, I have both of that games. The NFS Shift got horrible problems, I always got crashing issues on certain race like Quick Race, even if I was able to fix that problem, the gameplay suck as all hell to play. The graphics getting backward, even NFS Most Wanted got more spectacular lighting effect than this game, the physics meh... it's the worst. I don't see any advancement in it. As for C&C series, they totally ruined them, the RA3 is not fun as RA 2 by Westwood Studios, they just hired some hot chicks, a wrestling superstar, and others to attract people to buy it. Nothing improve in gameplay, it's more annoying with weird ability that doesn't make any uses at all. The only good C&C left is Tiberium Wars. But, some of their games still good, you just have to wait for a review to judge them. Now for support, they're not test their games fully on various PC specifications. They just focus on Nvidia GPU and Intel CPU. The AMD users got serious flaws running their games. I'm not AMD fanboy, in fact, I have all Intel, Nvidia and AMD products for my PC. Just telling you guys about how crappy their support team is. I'd like to show you what is currently happening on EA's official The Saboteur forum. Moderators keep deleting posts that complain about everything from game stability to mission issues. And the game is broken as hell. Just imagine how it looks after EA pulled off their funding. The moderators keep removing the topics probably they want to keep it clean and neat, they are aware of this problems and claimed will fix them. So, people should stay patient and stop posting the same old complaints until they fix it up. Edited December 14, 2009 by copperwire93
Roastyleg
theres not a chance EA will buy Take two, for one the amount gta is worth to R* and T2 is huge so there not likely to sell anytime soon. but yes EA are pricks and dont deserve money for something that doesnt work.... darthYENIK
EA makes a lot of great f*cking games. But at the same time, they practice the buying out of competition. So it kind of balances out in my book. And yeah, I doubt they'll ever buyout T2. That's like Microsoft trying to buyout Apple.

OutOfTimer
Take Two was barely saved last time they tried. If they decided to make a hostile take-over, not even God in heaven would stop them. Fortunately for us, they concluded GTA is not worth the trouble. And yes, GTA IV was the primary reason they tried. Now, from the economic point of view, it would be possible for Micro$oft to f*uck up Apple - not buy them - but certainly f*uck them up. However, it would have grim implications as far as the anti-competitive suits go (especially in the European Union). So there's no sense to it. Apple is a small company with less than 5% of the market. They're not a threat to Micro$oft. In case of EA and Take Two the situation is entirely different. The only reason they still stand is because they fight back so furiously that EA doesn't want to bother. However, our situation is very serious nevertheless. I'd love to know where people are getting this idea that EA if they got hold of Rockstar would make them turn it into the Sims. I've said this repeatedly to many people who have mentioned this that just because its one of EAs bigger franchises doesn't mean every game EA Publish would be like The Sims. Dead Space, Rock Band, Crysis, Dragon Age Origins, Mass Effect and Battlefield: Bad Company are a few examples of games published by them which are great and nothing like The Sims. They have a sequel to Bad Company in the pipeline, Dantes Inferno, a new Medal Of Honor to name but a few and none of these are like the bloody Sims. I'm not defending EAs business practises in the slightest but I have yet to see any proof that they'd ruin GTA as a franchise or make it into the Sims. Otter
Dragon Age is one of the best RPGs I've played in ages. In fact, on my 'favorites' shelf, about half of them are published by EA. I don't see the major problem. True innovation will continue to happen, no matter the source. And don't think for one minute that Take2's interests are any different from EA's. As for GTA becoming 'the sims 4', well, at least that'd be a change in the tired formula. And all this business about The Sabatuer? EA is hardly the only company to ever release with a gamebreaking bug - and it sounds like these bugs are mainly minor inconveniences. How quickly people forget the bugs and other issues that has plagued GTA4 on the PC.

Robinski
I don't really buy into all the EA hate. Sure they're quite ruthless when it comes to business but that's why they're so successful. I disagree with a load of their moves, as they often seem to be trying to make a quick buck rather than earning money (i.e. stuff like The Sims Hairbrush Expansion Pack) but I can't really complain, if it brought in the money, which it obviously does, I wouldn't hesitate a second if I were them. I can still remember when GTAF barely evaded EA trying to buy the forums.

Well to me, MW looks better, you can see the lighting details on the road, then observe how it affect the cars' surface, they just look brilliant! Moreover, it got bloom and sephia effects which make it looks absobloodylutely superb. Shift only got obvious lighting at the skies, it doesn't reflect the road better like the one in Burnout Paradise and MW. But, sure it beats the hell up of MW with that shiny effect on the cars. Maybe you should play Shift a little more, or maybe you just don't like arcade-sim racing games. I do love arcade racing games, but Shift just not that good. They should make Dirt 2 or Grid as example. Oh I forgot, they do intend to clone the Grid but still ain't that good. Edit: Wait, is this racing games comparison topic? NFS:MW, NFS:SHIFT (Blackbox) and Burnout Paradise (Criterion) are made by the studios under EA Company Edited December 15, 2009 by copperwire93
