Well if you want a game that will make you busy, the RPG genre is the best, since it's long with numerous type of quests, gameplay and challenge. For 2001 RPG games I suggest The Elder Scrolls : Morrowind and Baldur's Gate series, I don't know about the price though. You can check it up yourself.
