setting different wheels front and back

Recommended Posts

i am making a Ford Zakspeed capri for GTA San Andreas, and need to have different wheels at the back.

i have seen it done using a dummy called "wheel" in the wheel_rf_dummy, and a wheel with different name at each corner.

i tried this, but ended up with odd results (backwards wheels on left side)

i am hoping somebody has figured out how to make this work (maybe on a truck) and can help me with it.

i never tried this myself, just never had it in mind but what i've seen on hierarchy from other vehicles with GGMM is that sometimes four wheels are set as child objetcs of those dummies, plus they are named 'wheel_rf', though i saw it on a VC mod that worked with demares't wheel mod

Thanks Automan, the pic is a little confusing, but i will give that a try,

it looks like your wheels on the left of the car are mirrored to counteract the backwards wheels in game, i had a feeling that was all i needed to do.

the only bit i dont understand is the "tynipoly" object and its material /alpha instructions. is that just to make it invisible? you can do that by using a dummy instead, but i will try as you say and let you know if it works tounge.gifsmile.gif

WOOHOO thanks AutoMan, it works, much respect, and a giant cookie to you smile.gif

those wheels had been troubling me for days.

i got it working with a dummy called "wheel" in place of the original wheel_rf and called the others as you suggested.

mirroring the left wheels worked too smile.gif
