JohnPro
hi I think your experiencing the zmod and 3ds max compatibilty block thing. Any model exported from Zmodeller cant be imported into 3ds max. This is only if the model was exported using kams scripts. However you can export the model as .3ds in zmod then you can import it into 3ds max. Some say there is a way to bypass this block but my attempts proved unsuccessful. H13N.H3N
..<non-standard Dff> any way to fix it... ah ye, the wise old Kam included an anti-buster device for avoiding locked-mod thieving, only letting you import two kinds of DFF, the ones native from the game and those exported for GTA without any lock, out of that, not much to do, nor anyone that cares on this because if they are locked is for a reason, short words no fix to this, i tested every Dff from GTA III, VC and SA and all are imported without problems so that means no problem exist. Automan
Also: If the DFF has been done with ZModeler2, 3dsmax does not import, and gives that message. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/435125-non-standard-dff/#findComment-1059681703 Share on other sites
H13N.H3N
Also: If the DFF has been done with ZModeler2, 3dsmax does not import, and gives that message. i had both, Zmodeler/2 and 3D Studio Max, plus G-Sketchup and Blender (which is what i work now) and at least i never had problems making test from one to another, nevertheless does not matter if 3D Studio can't import Dff from Zmodeler, G-Sketchup or even Blender, all editors have the option to export as .3ds, i should say that is fairly enough for modeling. Automan
Yes, 3DS is the only good form of exchange. But if it do not have ZModeler2 to convert DDF to 3DS, it can not do anything.
