GTA Ripoff

OK ...so I found a VCR movie tape last night in an old collection ... called Grand Theft Auto (The extended uncut version) ... it was released in 1977 and stars Ron Howard....its a real cheesy B movie.

 

There are several simalar events between that movie and this game...it take place in Los Angelos and Las Vegas.

 

Has a scene it it that has a car running from Police...it speeds toward a police helicopter...the chopper tilts and the blades nearly chops up the car...just like the game mission before you crash your car through the Sprunk bilboard.

 

Another scene a cop jumps on the hood of the car and starts punching the driver throught the window...just like the game.

 

And another scene the charactor steals a tanker truck...just like the game

 

There is a casino heist in the movie...the main charector befriends a casino hostess and dates her to steal her keys...and a drug dealer gets his ass kicked

 

Has anyone else seen this movie ???

I did not see the movie, but I am disappointed just like you. It is a total rip off.

I remember the movie. so Rockstsar ripped off the movie... the programers probably saw it forgot it and did the scenes that stuck in their minds.

It's not like this is something new (stealing). There are only so many ideas.

i havent seen it, but i mean, basicly grand theft auto ( game ) is a rip off of that movie since the movie was made before....
