I smashed all my 150,000 credits on the Master Chief firefight voice yesterday. Now it's back to square one - Stockpiling credits again

I'm 5k away from doing this with Grunt Birthday Party. Then I'm off to hoard for the Cortana FF voice, Emile is starting to wear thin on me now.

It's for your character. the default Noble 6 voice isn't very vocal though, the occasion "heh" when you headshot or melee an enemy, and thus I was apprehensive of buying my first FF voice (Emile). All the purchasable ones are a lot more talkative I hear, even the normally verging-on-mute Chief. I'm pretty sure the people you're playing with hear the voice every time you do as well, it's not just something only you hear.

I'm pretty sure the people you're playing with hear the voice every time you do as well, it's not just something only you hear..

Yeah they're always pretty damn talkative, someone I play Reach with regularly uses Emile and he doesn't shut up. I have Kat at the moment but I would love to have something different, but i'm sorta restricting myself to female voices as I have a Female Spartan, so that leaves Dot or Cortana, and I have at least another 100,000 more credits to go until I get Cortana.

 

Also I just remembered, I haven't played any matchmaking with you yet paps, ever want an extra player feel free to send me an invite.

I haven't played Big team in a while, i'm usually on Rumble Pit, Multi-Team or SWAT. The only reason I play Rumble Pit though is for Juggernaut, the best game mode ever.

Some of the uses of Armour Lock on that game variant are just hilarious, especially because there's so many Ghosts.

 

Not sure how I feel about the Scorpion being replaced with a Wraith on Hemorrhage, though.

You get a badass-as-f*ck player model and a 2 plasma grenade start? Yes. I enjoy this. A lot. I really do wish you could still choose to play as an Elite in normal matchmaking games, their models are so much cooler. I also liked Elites a lot more over spartans prior to the latest update because they got Evade. I love that it's in wider rotation now as it's fun as hell.

 

In other news, I'm gonna stop going on about saving for Birthday Party, as I just bought it. My credits balance is sat at 730 as I type this. The grind begins again.

 

EDIT: God dammit. just had my first game with BP on, neutral assault on Haemorrhage and the whole enemy team bar 1 quit after we planted in the first 40 seconds. Of course, this means I go the whole 4 mintue game without dying .

A lot of people seem to have failed to appreciate the anti-armour abilities of the sniper. It's been beefed up a lot against vehicles from previous versions to the point where you don't even have to hit specific points to inflict massive damage on a vehicle. You can take out a Scorpion with three well placed sniper shots minimum, and other power vehicles like Banshees with just 2.

 

I;m not saying the Scorpion didn't need to go on Haemorrhage, it did, I'm just saying it wouldn't have been such a pressing problem if people were willing to sacrifice a few of their iTz wIcKeD sNiPeZ kills in the team effort.

I discovered who useful it is quite recently, I've sniped the driver out of a scorpion a few times too and leaving no one but the person I killed noticed it, just leaving the Scorpion driverless.

 

Quick note, gotta love some of the effects you get off the Gravity Hammer in Juggernaut

The first time I found out about the Sniper's anti-armour ability was in Forge on Forge World. One of my friends tore my Banshee to piece with just a sniper rifle.

Only yesterday I figured out you can snipe the driver in a Scorpion. But I already knew the sniper has vehicle destroying abilities, never thought it would work on a tank (well, without wasting a ton of shots into it). I also love Elite Slayer too! Boneyard and Hemorrhage are my favorites. So many splatters... Only one or two members on the other team are clever enough to use armor lock!

 

Also notice another game-mode that isn't so popular. Invasion Slayer. I've only had like 5 games, and they were awesome. It was mainly just me sniping on Hemorrhage to big headed elites. But I see an obvious reason to team-kill for weapon drops...

 

EDIT: A question... On your weapons stats on Bnet. It shows your kills and deaths of each weapon, but I do not know what the 'death' stats means. Is it that you got killed while holding that weapon or killed by that weapon? I'm assuming it would be the second reason right?

I'm pretty sure it's deaths by that weapon (i.e. someone kills you with a DMR, your "DMR Deaths" increases).

 

I think I've got armour lock pretty much sussed now, in respect to anti-vehicle duty at least. Been play BTB a lot recently, and as such playing on Haemorrhage a lot and racking up a lot of ghost, revenant and mongoose kills with the lock. The trick seems to be to "play dumb", just stand in one spot firing and they'll think you're just some scrub and charge. Then, BAM!

Heh, assassinating a female Spartan. There's a simple way you can tell it's a female in that picture.

 

I got a mid-air assassination on Boneyard before; the same assassination animation as your one.

 

 

 

On, the other hand, I'm a bit scared of using the lift on Reflection now.

 

 

 

But talking of the lift, I made a kickass weapon lift with it. Basically a grav lift pushes weapons onto the lift, then they get delivered up to the top floor

Thought I'd pop Reach in for a bit as I hadn't been on it for a good few weeks, and now I can't get off it. Just had a good solid hour and a half playing Team Slayer, then another half hour playing on one of the best custom games ever; Jetpack Zombies (not the official name of the game type, I think, but the main gist). I'll post a link in this post when I find it on bungie.net.

Just found a cool glitch in forge, which you can annoy the f*ck out of your mates with whilst they try and kill you.

 

1. Spawn two Armour Locks

2. Pick up one of them, go into Armour Lock, then 2 seconds in, switch to monitor mode

3. Press B over the other Armour Lock pickup, and press 'Delete all of these'

4. Profit. When you switch back to human mode, you will be invincible. When other people look at you, you will have the armour lock glow around you still

That's one of the reasons I don't play Rumble Pit at the moment. You just can't move for Infection. I mean, I like it and it's a good laugh, but every round? No thanks. The best part is that a lot of pubbies don't even realise you get a pistol and they just sit there waiting for the zombies to get within 5 feet (lesser known as the "Oh god I'm out of pistol ammo they shouldn't be this close" zone).

 

This does, however, allow for some pretty impressive scores when you do happen to pay attention to your loadout though.

Finally got my Jorge Avatar helmet (You get it by getting a Killtacular in multiplayer matchmaking) in a good ol' game of 2CTF on Hemorrhage. There was 4 guys running out of the base after the guy on my team with the flag. Took three of them down in one wraith shot, but one of them Armour Locked. Then this other guy came running out of the base, so I picked him off. To top it off, I killed the guy in Armour Locked and received my Collectable.

 

Only Carter's helmet to go now.
