Stig
Hey everyone, can anyone give me some song titles of anywhere inbetween 1920's - 1940's jazz, with all piano, very slow and chill, and of course just instrumentals. Thanks if anyone can help me out Something like this: . More along the lines of downtrodden, slow and kind of mopey is what I would like. I love it. Canoxa
The temporal limits make little sense. It corresponds to a period where solo piano/trio jazz wasn't usual, not to mention that stylistically it was nothing like that video. That being said, explore the jazz piano masters that worked on the trio or solo format. Piano starts with Art Tatum. His heir apparent was Oscar Peterson. You should know Erroll Garner too. Bill Evans is someone you should be checking, no doubt. And the culmination of all this "evolutionary" effort and the man that fits your description best, Keith Jarrett. Slamman
In the Dayz of my Youth, I got to hear Scott Joplin for the first time, Can't recall if it's "Jelly Role" or not, was many years back, but check him out, can't hurt. Canoxa
Scott Joplin and Jelly Roll Morton are two different people, quite a bit stylistically apart. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/434949-in-need-of/?do=findComment&comment=1059697409 Share on other sites
