OS: Windows XP - SP3 / Windows Vista - SP1

Memory: 1.5GB Vista / 1.5GB XP, 16 GB Free Disk Space

Video Card (Graphics Card): 256MB NVIDIA 7900/256MB ATI X1900

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8Ghz (If you have more then 1.8 your fine) / AMD Athlon X2 64 2.4Ghz)

That's the minimum requirements for Grand Theft Auto IV.

Note: Your not thinking of downloading the pirate copy are you? Because if you are, please consider NOT asking for help. GTAForums do not support illegally pirated copies of GTA IV. If your looking to PURCHASE the retail version, then congrats, and welcome to GTAForums. tounge.gif

Trying to run that game on those specs would be like trying to divide by zero; you wont be successful.

you're so wrong there. I play on medium settings, smooth fps with no lag. Obviously draw distance is minimal but this does not hinder gameplay

Unless you want to back that up with strong, legit evidence, then we don't believe you.

how the f*ck do you play on medium settings ??? you didn't even put your gpu there .... a computer like that should be thrown out the window ?! i don't belive you

Yeah, and n2wry, your going to have serious problems playing with 512MB of RAM! GTA IVs minimum spec for RAM is atleast 1GB. Either do the following things:

  • Buy a new computer
  • Upgrade your PCs components
  • OR throw your PC out the window.
If you think your going to be able to play GTA IV on those specifications, you seriously need help. lol.

I dont believe him too.

Its too stupid and too laggy with this PC.

Its too far away from minimum he might not get the game started.

512MB of ram, come one.

We are not in 2002.

And whats the GPU then?

You need a new PC.

First, you have a dual core. Second, you have an ancient video card. I'm surprised the installer loaded.
