Kind of like IV wasn't based on anything (from what I could tell) yet it still tried to reimburse the original idea that was intended when R* made GTA 3 (which was loosely based on several American Mafia movies such as Goodfellas). I don't think basing it on anything would give the game that fresh feel - IV was kind of based on todays society - countless adverts for products spoofing real products, sprunk, E-Cola, Myroom or whatever it is... damn i wanna play this game again! I hate how in every movie or game based in the UK, all the actors have really strong Street-London or Posh-London accents, lol. Never enough of us Mancz, either! I think it is the arch-/stereotype of british crime being mainly cockneys (ignoring chavs) and its at least the most recognised. talking of Manc.. MACCER! GTA London could work if it's done well, but you'd still have some tw*ts saying "its g*y they f*cked up by making ppl drive on the wrong side of the road!" *sighs* Anyway i digress. Snatch is a gd film, but take away all the london-ism ("What, proper f*cked - love that line) what are you left with. a gun shot, a door that opens inwards, a bunny, caravan and a guy getting hit by a car with a bag over his head. Wouldnt quite work. I dont think GTA would work (yet) outside of the USA. I kind of like the escapism i get in gta, playing in america.... Although R*North and Leeds are based inthe uk, would at least get their research right.... i dont know might work. Agh i stray again! What'd be interesting is if R* took the approach of an immigrant being the protagonist, though i wouldnt like that... i guess if london is the setting, you're gonna have the london accents....
