Chinatown Wars
I have a whole bunch of demo discs from magazines,

Does it say anything about a magazine on the box or an event?

Nope. My parents BOUGHT it for me. It wasnt from any magazine or crap. Just some random old game disk i found...

Chinatown Wars

Well, what games does it have on it?

1: War of the mosters [T]

2: Amplitude ORIGINAL GUITAR HERO [T]

3: ATV: Off Road Fury 2 [E]

4: Jet X2O [E]

5: MLB: 2004 [E]

6: World Tour Soccer: 2003 [E]

7: Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell [T]

8: Jak 2 [RP; Video]

9: NBA Street Vol. 2 [E; Video]

All I had to do is look at the back of the game case

You think that's old? I've probably still got a box full of old Playstation demo discs and the thing is they are virtually worthless and probably far from rare.

Same here, Ive got some demo discs from 1997

also a f*ck load of PS2 demos and DVD's from magazines

Might take some pictures tomorrow, because Ive got sort my crap out :<

show you my huge pile of game related magazines

Chinatown Wars

Surfing game. Never really played it tho.

I have more games. Just have to search for them dozingoff.gif sometime...

I think I have a demo of Metal Gear Solid that I got when I had a large Pizza Hut pizza delivered. I remember begging my parents to get a pizza just for that demo. I played it for a long long time before I even played the full game. I was just enthralled with the gameplay.

And I think that demo disc that Supreme is talking about came with the PlayStation back in 95 or 96, because I had it as well. I think it also had a demo for Intelligent Qube, another awesome game.

Intelligent Cube, Tomb Raider 2, Armed Core, and some NFL Gameday game.

I've still got the Demo 1 disc that came with the PSX. (Granted its my friends who gave it to me after I lost mine.)

I just loved the demos on it. Why dont game companys do that anymore. Include a demo disc with some of the best and interesting games for the system. Granted online stores like XBL Marketplace and PSN would make a disc redundant but not everyone has the time/bandwith/internet to do so.

Demos include

Abes Oddessey

Played the sh*t out of this game! I remember there is this part where its a room full of mines and its impossible get across as it was the end of the demo and you go out with a bang, literally. But i remember multiple play throughs of that demo just to try and beat that part tounge2.gif .

Overboard! (Shipwreckers! for some)

Wiered pirate game that I never got into. But it was mildly fun.

Kurushi (Intelligent Qube for the rest of you)

Loved this game. Played the demo for hours. Just loved it. I would borrow PSX games every weekend and would never find this game untill one weekend where i snapped it up immediatley. If i find a copy of this for sale I'm buying it.

Rapid Racer

Some power-boat racing game. Could never beat the 3 laps as time was always running out. Tryed it just now for the first time in 10 years and still can't beat it mad.gif Bloody timer. Though I made progress, I completed a lap. I think i only figured out boost in this game today. Coulda helped 10 years ago.

Rage Racer (Ridge Racer)

The Ridge/Rage Racer demo. It was ok.

Prosche Challenge

Same as Rage Racer but like this one a bit more.

Lifeforce Tenka

An old FPS for the PSX that i was to scared to play by myself. I'd only play it with friends. Tryed it out today and its ok. Contols need getting used, espsecially since the dual-analouge wasn;t availible yet. (No right stick. Or left stick for that matter. All d-pad).

Hercules

The game based on the movie/tv show of the same name. It was a fun game. Borrowed it and beat it one sitting (kinda had to didn't have a memory card at the time. Most games I borrowed i had to try and beat in one sitting). But i remember as a kid finding it short.

Also I still have my original copy of Winter Releases '98 that came with my copy of Crash Bandicoot 3 along with a CD Booklet with the Playstation logo on it. ( Man Sony were so awesome back in the day).

cycon77foamy[GTA Man]' date='Dec 9 2009, 01:12'] I've still got the Demo 1 disc that came with the PSX.

Same here. I want Kurushi, It was a good game but I'd only want it now for a collection

Seen the price? ebay link

Chinatown Wars
Anything NES or SNES in "perfect condition" has got to be worth something on ebay.

If it isnt burned out and it still works. And it doesnt have that yellowish color that most do. You can buy new ones off of this internet site (forgot the name sad.gif ). They would be black (no yellow fading over the years) but 100-200 dollars...

Holy sh*t I had that same demo disc. Played the crap out of the TR2 demo. My mom and I were also addicted to Intelligent Cube.
